I want your o p i n i o n. How do you think Tanaka would show his affection towards the one he dates?

For Tanaka, it would be pretty obvious that he values his significant other a lot. He’ll feel so lucky that he had such an awesome s/o. He’ll hug them a lot from the behind, sometimes even taking them by surprise. Tanaka usually will take them on fun dates like to movies or amusement parks. Romantic dinners will be a rarity (because come on, this is Tanaka), but when they do happen, boy does he try his best to make the night special. (It’s almost adorable, because he’s nervous af)

When his significant other gets sick, he’ll stop by and cheer them up. (His excuse is that he’s there to drop by school notes, but most of the time he feeds [name] their food even though they are 100% capable of feeding themselves.) “Don’t worry, [name]. If it’s me, then I won’t get sick! Suga-san said so! ouob” He gets sick anyway. But it was worth it.

Romantic things are Tanaka’s weaknesses. He’s the type of guy who flirts easily (flirting successfully is an entirely different matter). But anything with physical contact is reserved especially for his significant other. Kisses especially are what makes his knees weak. Tanaka’s first couple of kisses are hesitant and soft because holy shit he’s kissing his s/o and holy shit he has no idea what to do. After awhile, he’ll get the hang of it and takes every opportunity to steal a kiss. He gives awesome cuddles. Just be careful because he gets really clingy in his sleep.

You know why Kageyama is so pathetic? Tsukishima is more of an asshole than him and even he has friends. Nobody likes Kageyama. Even animals hate him. He is truly a waste of space. Why can't he just disappear from the manga already?

This ask surprised me because it honestly came from no where. My best guess is that you’re referencing the Kageyama food hate I reblogged from food-that-looks-like-haikyuu. Or probably this post where I commented “#i cant take haikyuu hate against kageyama seriously #but thats just me”

Sorry, anon, but I can’t say that I share your opinion. Now, I respect the fact that you dislike Kageyama, and I’m not trying to make you change it. But since you messaged me this topic, I can now proceed to tell you why I like Kageyama. :D

Kageyama plays the role of the genius volleyball player. That quality is itself borderlining on Gary Sue territory. So how can we balance that out and make him more relateable?

Well, let’s make volleyball the only thing he’s good at. Friends?? Ta lkINg abt otheR th an v olleYBoll??? Kageyama is an utter noob at anything not related to his beloved sport. He is utterly pathetic (ahaha!). Now, it’s this trait that you probably find annoying, but I actually find it endearing.

Because while he was initially a stuck-up star player who made his middle-school team feel like pawns, he eventually realizes that his lack of social ability impedes the overall team’s performance. He actually begins to try to improve, he tries to listen to others’ complaints and becomes a better volleyball player. People depend on him for his sets and he in turn puts his trust in his teammates that they will hit them. True, he still has a while to go, and he still is super awkward and scary to others. But that’s why I like him.

Everyone in Haikyuu is my precious child, and Kageyama is no different. I’m so proud of how far he’s grown! ;; u ;; Kageyama food hate makes me laugh because while there certainly might have been hateful intentions behind them, I personally interpret them as the “I love you so much I hate you so I will insult you as a show of my love” sort of thing.

That’s all I have to say about Kags at the moment. Like I said, you’re totally free to continue disliking Kageyama! I’m sure you have your reasons. Thanks for sending me a message! It was nice having a chance to vomit my Haikyuu feels, even though this was probably not what you had in mind.

I’d much prefer it if you discussed a character you loved rather than you hated though. So, I invite you to do that if you want to continue talking about Haikyuu some more. We’re both in volleyball hell after all. We can even talk about Tsukki if you want. ;D

My friend send me that video of ryuto & gakupo before and all we could talk about were ryuto's teeth & how he loked like shrek

Ryuto's teeth was definitely the one detail that stood out the most from that video! I could not get over the fact that they bishounen-ized Ryuto, yet kept his buckteeth. It was ridiculous! His eyes were so pretty but his buckteeth killed me. XD
