i couldn't decide if I should draw in his facial features or not... I think I like it better w/o

he is the danger mentioned in the prompt btw. I wanted to draw him holding a sword towards the viewer, but I didn't give myself enough space with placement on the page so I had to settle. this is how I imagine he looks when he finally snaps it might take a century of wearing on his patience to happen, but when it does? .....run

ok ranting time: first things first, he does not actually have antlers I'm afraid - those are attached to his crown Loki style.

The king of elvenwood (who I have yet to come up for a name for cause all I can think of are names from Tolkien...)

His brother (who is also nameless atm) was married to Brenna, a phoenyx who adopted Bea after saving Bea's life. In my fae society, which includes the various smaller elven kingdoms, adoption of human changelings is more common than a fae having biological children, though this does happen. Therefore, when Brenna takes Bea in as her own, she is treated as being the neice of the elfking. When Brenna and the elfking's brother go missing, she is yet again adopted by her adoptive uncle.

Because Brenna brought Bea back from being pretty much braindead, she had to relearn many things. When Brenna vanishes, Bea is still struggling with many things, which are only made worse by her new guardian's disappearance. It is only through the patience, love, and care of her adoptive uncle that she is able to overcome these hardships.

It is a testament to his absolutely insane amount of patience that he does so. As Bea gets better, she rediscovers the unruly streak of teen rebellion that got her into this mess in the first place. Only now it is made even stronger by Brenna's fiery magic, which now flows through her veins

Days 3 and 4. Mushroom and Shy.

Mushroom:

This is a fairy that mimics a mushroom. They are omnivorous, but their main diet consists of flies and bugs, which they catch using the sticky surface of their "hat" (their head). Their mouth is large and long, and they use their tongue to lick prey off their heads. They have lower limbs and burrow into the ground only to hunt. They usually live near bodies of water and moisture, where there are usually plenty of midges. They feel uncomfortable in dry places.

I wasn't quite sure what to draw on Day 4, so this is what came out.

for the first time ever i am ahead on october drawing challenge ... ! proud and tentatively hopeful i will finish this year. i think i've only finished once before. carrying on with lovely faetober prompts by @dunyun-rings

Today’s prompt is harvest and I really just wanted to draw a chicken.

I will definitely be revisiting this piece for the shop and finishing rendering soon.
