Acoustic Adventures of Chaquis Maliq : Fall Arts Fest (FAF) Woodbury
I must say that I am growing and growing. But I am forever grateful.This past weekend I had the opportunity to perform at the FAF, in Woodbury, NJ. This was the first time I've had an cajon drummer/background vocalist in any show, since playing the guitar.
(Don't tell nobody, but I actually forgot the cajon/drum box, and did not realize it until I picked up my background vocalist. Good thing It was only 6 miles to turn around and get it.)

The festival was pretty cool. Some supporters from Philly came out and everything. I tell you though, I was up at 5AM for no reason and could not go back to sleep, plus I was the driver for the adventure. When I say, shades saved my life, I MEAN IT! LOL!

I was assuming I was going to be able to change my clothes and get all dolled up....HAAAAAAAAAA! Not the case. I did change my clothes a little bit. But the eyes don't lie. So, forgive me and my hipster shades in the photos.
But Back to the performance. We had straight up fun! I told them we traveled from DC and they were even more excited. There was live art being done by 3 local artists the whole time. I discovered there was surround sound applauding. LOL! There were ppl behind the performance area, on the sides clapping too. That filled me with so much joy.
The only thing, is that I wish that the sound ppl would have left the sound they way it was when we started. For some reason they added a bad reverb/echo :-( So, that effected my decision of whether to put up the footage or not.
I was approached by the Director and the Philly Fans put in a good word to her to have me come next year for their non-secluded Music Lounge Stage. So, we shall see what happens and hope for only the best!
