My Circle Theory

This is an idea that has been brewing inside of me for a little while and I haven't been able to get it just right. 

My theory is that people group in circles( or rings moreso). I know this is a common idea and was even used in the new social networking site Google Plus but what I believe makes it special is this:

I believe if the circle splits you're missing something. 

This applies best with tumblr for me.

Say I were following Vondell but not Olga. I'd be missing a whole side of a conversation. 

Imagine 2 rings, one inner, one outer. On the inner place vondell, tom, olga, maybe sonnet and oliver.

On the outer place madcatterv2, sexychrismello, fagotron, aidanwritesandstuff and many others. They now each have their own ring intersecting only at their point or whatever others a person may follow.

Now imagine how many followers they have. 

It's not a web. It's a giant venn diagram.

Tumblr is the definition of social networking.
