Junior appreciation post.
Junior as Faifah is the best performance. I can't even express in words how much that character made an impact on me. And his story hasn't even started. That's the whole point. He is in the background. We only got glimpses of his life. But Damn.
The scenes with his mom where she explains herself is top notch. I thought the scene of his forgetting about his allergy was hurtful. But here we can clearly see him shutting down, losing hope and that hurt in his mannerism. The way he hugs her with a slight detachment, the hurt in his eyes is palpable. It hurts. I was focusing on Junior the whole time. He is amazing.
We know he is good at comedy. This episode is no exception. The way he laments on being single, his banter, his delight upon hearing the form mishap were all good. He is shown as the happy go lucky guy on the surface but bearing deep wounds inside. Junior perfectly portrays these nuances. I'm in awe. Good job Junior.
