Tw: Talk of crying, raising an animal for slaughter

Y'all, I have fair this coming week so I may not be as active, but to those who did FFA, 4-H, or raised an animal for a project only for it to be put to slaughter later on (as in like, you raised the animal for it to get bought and killed for meat) how did you cope with that knowledge that the animal you raised and spent a bunch of time with is going to get sent off to be killed? The sale is literally a week from now but here I am crying about it because I'm really realizing that these are the last days I'm gonna be with my pig.

Today was my last day with JT before I head off to college. I’m going to miss this man so much <3 We’ve been through so much together over this past year and a half, and I don’t know what I am going to do without him. But I’ll see him over breaks hopefully!

So, I’ve decided to post some of the pictures from my last show with him on Friday because he looks stunning~

Soooooo the last few years at the County Fair (you know like rodeo, 4H/Farm Animal Show stuff, showing off your hobbies and entering/judging photo contests or sewing contests or whatever....IDK THINK CHAROLOTTE'S WEB AND YOU HAVE COUNTY FAIR!) because the people in charge have been getting rid of more and more stuff each year and its gotten boring as all get out, I've been doing casual cosplays to keep myself entertained (and to get the occasional 'WAIT A SECOND' from people who recognize the character, that's fun) but this year has been so GOD DAMN HOT that I didn't think I was gonna actually do anything....so the last two days have been VERY casual cosplays... But today, since it was the parade (not that I was in it but whatever) I decided to do, still a casual cosplay, but more on par of what I've done the last few years... Anyways, if you ever wanted to figure out how to get kids from 4H groups or on a float for whatever reason, to single you out and throw extra candy your way do a Casual Cosplay. The absolute JOY on the one lil boy's face when he saw I had elf ears and he kept yelling 'ELF EARS! SHE'S GOT ELF EARS! ELF EARS!' as he threw candy at me specifically, made my day lol

Also old ladies with find you a joy and the occasional person will look at you, look away, and then turn back with a 'Wait? Link?!'

Also, I'm so getting more of the yummy apple treats tomorrow :3

Fair Week Day 6

Uhhh watched some dancers...

Took a nap out in the sun because that was a smart idea...(I’m burnt, but not as bad as my mom)

Got yelled at while making sure people didn’t pick up their photos early...because I told someone they needed to wait until 5 to pick up their photos...you know, doing my job...

Got my stuff...idk how much I earned but hey my one painting got a blue ribbon which is cool. Also the the antique cookbook I entered got a blue and the other antique book got a white so that’s cool too. And I got more blues on my photos than I realized...

Fair Week Day 5

My friend hung out today.

Hung out at my other friend’s booth for a while and bugged him.

Cousin was there to and we had to go find her after a while..

A lot of story telling and conversations about DnD.

Not a whole lot happened actually and Ii’m sleepy...

Fair Week Day 4(????)

OKay, I need to sleep I almost titled this Theater Week....also almost typed “week” as “wekk” twice...

Hung out with my friend at his booth most of the day.

I should not be trusted with multicolored pens, markers, and sticky notes...

Was ready to fight when I overheard someone tell my mom they didn’t understand her abstract photo of the hay bails and that abstract is a disgrace to the art community because “throwing paint on a canvas isn’t truly art. It’s just a mess. And how could some one say they made art if they only painted a canvas white, or took a picture of a blank white brick wall. I just don’t understand...” 

Steampunk washboard music man and his cool car wagon thing and all the adorable kids that he let play with instruments...

I was supposed to hand out fliers but I suck at socializing and that didn’t work out too well...

Uhhhhh a band played today...they were decent I guess...a bit too country for me...and their song about how great america is made me roll my eyes...
