Now, I want to take the idea of "fair-weatheredness" in the area of business. What kind of person, entrepreneur, writer, member are you in the business areas of your life? Are you waiting for the shoe to drop? If something goes wrong or bad, do you immediately start worrying or start bashing? Are you a fair-weather friend in your business life? Do you praise only in the good times and then disappear or go rogue in the bad times? Or do you run around and bad-mouth in the bad or uncertain times?

A Fair-Weather friend is someone whom you hear from only when it suits him / her; who hangs with you only when you are okay to be with. It's sort of like being treated as spice. How one uses it only when he feels like there's nothing else to satisfy his taste apart from what's in front of him. So he sprinkles a dash of your presence into his life whenever he finds it convenient to do so. After 20+ years of breathing, I should know. Now the good news is that unlike that spice stored in a green-covered McCormick bottle, I am human. Which means, I have a choice- to walk away from one-sided relationships. Unless I find the grace to really be charitable and be okay with it. I have my limits though. Done for now. P.S. Such a paradoxical situation. We hate being used. And yet we fail to see how we inadvertently use others at times. In the end, the mistakes of others should only remind us of our own.
