Ari is… the sweetest, kindest girl I know. She’s so pure, I feel undeserving of her. She makes me feel like a horrible person when she’s around, but I also want to stay around her. She deserves the world, and if I could, I’d give it to her. Alas, there’s not much I can give to her. I don’t know why she’s still so nice to me, because everything she gives me, I can never give it back to her. I honestly don’t know what she sees in me, because I see nothing, but I love it. While she makes me feel horrible, she can also make me feel better. She just has that something about her, and you can never be down when she’s near.

She’s like the sun on a spring morning -- warm, but not that overbearing kind of warm. Just a pleasant glimmer of heat that makes your skin feel more alive. She’s like the vibrant orange of her hair -- awake, energised, always at one hundred percent, her battery fully charged. Sometimes I wish I could be kinder, like her. The more I know her, the more I realise I’m not kind or selfless, because she’s more. And the more I hear her cry, the more I want to revert into myself. Because we’re less alike than she thinks. I’m not good like her. How could I possibly be good if I let my foolish heart betray her trust?
