So, come on, get on with it.” She sounded annoyed, and she raised her eyebrows as if to reiterate what she’d just said. Although she didn’t exactly have ‘people to see,’ she still had places to go and things to do.

When not careful, you could walk right into a ghouls nest, or something far worse. Evidently, the boy was a loner, and preferred to keep people at bay. Unfortunately, for him, he had a habit of running into mortals more often than he wanted. And this mortal had a gun, and it was aimed at him. No telling if it was a bluff, but she seemed to know how to handle one.

         ❝ W-WHOA! ❞ He yelped, as he tripped over himself. He brought his arm up protectively over his face, quivering and wincing at the sight of the gun.
