fairytok was so peak imo ive started watching the videos and its literally just an rp? the hate was so unneeded

what if i started making 'fairytok' videos on my youtube channel again but instead of just positing random fairy videos, used the idea of being a fae/ faerie as an allegory for being queer/ a minority group (fairy was used to describe queer people in the past) and also used the idea of "faerie wars" as a way to talk about genocide happening in the middle east

As a faekin it's kinda funny to admit this but I'm currently obsessed with fairytok compilations...

They've definitely got their own definition of what a fairy is but it's essentially got its own canon and it looks like a really fun and creative community. The camera tricks range from funny and juvenile to genuinely impressive. There's a lot of carbon copies of specific content, because it is tiktok, so it gets repetitive after a while between here's me flying, here's my powers, here's me making a potion, here's me running from hunters, here's the types of fairies, here's me proving the haters wrong, here's the same 3 or 4 songs, etc.

But I think it's really cute to watch people make an OC and essentially play pretend with one another, just like I did when I was a kid. The fairies vs hunters thing is kinda genius in the way it provides conflict and motive and allows for some pretty creative (if, again, repetitive) content.

Anyway I maaay be resisting the urge to make a fairytok account as a love fairy who can't fly training to be a queen who used my powers to seduce a hunter and turn him into an ally.

Only thing stopping this force is the immovable object of not wanting to download tiktok. Also the community is mostly kids (hence the queen thing, it makes sense for a queen to be much older). Also I never got the hang of making videos on there in the first place. (I am fae for real after all and technology is often unkind to me.)

Everything is so exciting now that I've realizing I'm actually a fairy! My magic isn't very strong yet, but with the help of some charms, I was nearly able to fly today! Aaaaa I'm so excited I want to go train endlessly until I can do it really really well but I gotta sleep, I've already stayed up so late trying to fly ;;

The History Of Fairies and other cryptids~

Like humans, cryptids have been around since the beginning of time. Some cryptids where seen as gods, for example, the Greek and Egyptian gods where cryptids.

So for thousands of years, humans and cryptids lived peacefully together, but like all good things, this didn’t last forever. Some humans discovered that when a cryptid died, they would give up their power, and this power would be next to their dead body in the form of some small item, usually a gemstone. These gemstones can be used to give a human one or more of that cryptid’s abilities.

This started a war, false rumors where spread to make cryptids look evil, therefore making more people want to hunt them down. For ten years they fought back, but where eventually outnumbered and killed.

Slowly, after thousands upon thousands of years, they where forgotten, leaving nothing but myths and legends behind. But in 1976 everything changed…a small colony of fairies where discovered.

Almost all of them had been captured and brought to a government facility. After some research, all of this was discovered, and it was determined that some crypids had somehow came back into the world.

Ever since then they created the C.C.S, witch is short for cryptid containment specialists. They’re goal is to capture and experiment on cryptids, and to hide them from the public.

And that’s how we’ve gotten here today.

A welcome post of sorts~

Hello! My name is Katarina (or Kat for short) and I am starting a fairytok themed account. If you don’t know what fairytok is, it’s a tik tok roleplay community of sorts focusing on the idea of fairies. In this universe there are many types of fairies, which are hunted by fairy hunters, wether it be to kill or capture.

I am a mix between a nature and a corvid fairy. [corvid is the scientific name for the crow family, for anyone that didn’t know] My goal is to warn fairies and other cryptids of the danger of these fairy/crptid hunters, and overall spread awareness on the topic.
