This is an aesthetic/diary type blog, feel free to interact as long as you support the LGBTQ+ community, anti-racism, disabled and mentally ill people, protecting minors and animals from abuse, and of course otherkin. Kinnie friendly but I am personally aligned with Otherkin/Therian as an identity. I also identify as nonhuman/alterhuman interchangeably as I feel aligned with these names too.

It is important to me to be respectful to all alterhumans, nonhumans, etc and all who fall under these umbrellas. I value underrepresented opinions because inclusivity is vital to the life of our communities. However I also value online safety and will not tolerate any exploitative behaviour I see. I encourage minors to stay anonymous online for your own safety.

I try to avoid reblogging any uncredited art or stolen content. I would personally love to see more of an effort made in the otherkin and therian communities to reblog directly from or at least credit original artists, and to do the same with photography and other types of content. I consider AI generated images to also be stolen content as those programs are usually trained on images taken without the original artist's consent.

In my dreams I am pursued. My hooves beat against pavement, car alarms and sirens howl like banshees. My horn glistens as the sun beats down on us. They surround me with snare-poles and see me as nothing but a mindless escaped animal. I look around the highway, ears flattened, and know that I do not belong.

Something something, selkies and being separated from their skins/homes, unicorns and always being pursued for their purity, and pixies being trapped in jars because they're pretty... Went into the city last week and felt my breath stolen from me once we drove into the heart of it. Grey pillar buildings were all I could see and they reached impossibly high. Reminiscent of cage bars. We left just as quick as we came.

I apologize if any of this sounds silly. I'm mainly posting it to see if anyone else relates.

Usually, online, I'll see folks and critters chatting about their specific types and the kind of things they experience regarding them. I've seen dogs talk about vocals, birds talk about nesting, dragons wishing they could fly, and shape-shifters yearning to change their form. Often, I see people with multiple types chatting about the overlapping traits.

I really do wish that I could relate to such a thing. It sounds wonderful to be able to track down which traits connect to what. It all seems so clear-cut when others post and chat about their experiences. I wonder how many are in the same boat as I. How many folks are out there who have a more vague type? I heavily identify with fae creatures, but I'm not so sure what kind. Pixies adore flying, brownies are excellent at mending things, dryads are especially connected with plants, and púca enjoy climbing anything they can latch their paws onto. So what does that mean for someone who has all of those traits? I know I'm not multiple creatures, but it seems that nothing ever quite fits. Is there some niche micro-label that describes it? Does it exclude me from taking part in a community that loves to post detailed lists of how they identify? I'm not sure if this will make sense. I hope someone gets it.

twiddle with some thoughts about fairytok and fairy games again . kossai do not have and never plan to have tiktok account , so perspective is rather from compilations put on youtube .

in parts of childhood would play similar fairy games . without means of expression , that was main outlet . between earthly forms of magic that grow up with , and flashy forms of magic that mostly see on TV , would try to do all sorts of fun things .

what see in fairytok is not identical to personal games for various reasons , and actual tropes of fairytok largely unrelatable to pretty much any courtiers among kossai , but still feel silly little fondness . plus , some of these people actually pull off tricks really smoothly , and that is always fun to see .

mildly wonder as well how many people identify as some kind of faekin due to personal play around on fairytok .
