Safety tips for cryptids~
Due to the rise in both government and rouge cryptid hunters, the cryptid population has been in decline, so I think it’s best I give some safety tips for my fellow cryptids:
• Most normal safety tips apply here [don’t get into strangers car, don’t eat food strangers give you, ect]
•ALWAYS carry a bag that has essential supplies you would need if you have been discovered and can’t go back to wherever your staying, trust me, this will happen to you at least once.
•If your good at drawing, being an online artist has a lower risk than an in person job, as no one can see you or determine who you are as long as you play your cards right
•If you have any electronic devise, ALWAYS cover the camera, once your on the radar of a government issued hunter, they program an ai to alert them if they see your face on a camera.
• There is a pocket dimension that takes the appearance of a large bar, called the silver goblet, which is a safe haven for cryptids. It’s basically a fairy house, but for all cryptids, which humans can’t enter. You can enter by simply following the smell, you’ll know what I mean when you smell it. This place is really important so I’ll be making a post explaining it later
•Just because someone has supernatural abilities doesn’t mean they’re a cryptid. Due to the fact that if someone kills a cryptid, they can use their life shard to give themself one of the cryptid’s abilities. One of the best ways to tell if someone is a actual cryptid is by bringing them to the silver goblet. As even with a life shard there will be an invisible wall stoping them. If you bring them to the entrance of the silver goblet and that happens, immediately go through the portal. There are multiple entrances and exits to the silver goblet, so you can just leave through another one.
• You probably know about fairy houses, the little decorations people will sometimes place on trees. These may not seem useful, but they actually lead to a pocket dimension pacifically designed for fairies. So if your a fairy simply trace your finger along the door and you’ll be teleported there.it’s pretty common to feel nauseous for a lil once you have teleported, so be prepared. [WARNING: this only works for fairies or cryptids heavily related to fairies] Also, quick thank you to anyone who makes those, they've saved my and manny others 4ss.
• If you are a cryptid who has anomalous physical traits (like wings, a tail, elf ears, ect) that you can hide with clothes, I recommend living in a cold area, so you can cover your anomalous traits while causing less suspicion.
• If you can afford it, I recommend getting/ stealing an RV and drive around the country, doing a stay at home job. I do this myself and the main reasoning behind it is that its a lot harder to track you down when your constantly moving around. [Make sure to change your licence plate a lot though, especially if you stole the rv]
•NEVER get in a cab(or any other car) , as hunters will sometimes pose as a taxi driver, bring you to a secluded area, and kill or capture you.
•If your in public and have a feeling that someone is following you, go to an extremely crowded area and try to lose them. If this doesn't work, go to a fast food restaurant or cafe and tell the waiter your being followed and ask if you can leave through the employee exit. Don't get in their car if they ask you if you need a ride, just in case
•Be EXTREMELY careful who you tell about your identity, even your closest friends could be a hunter.
