Matthew 14:22-33 Jesus Walks on Water shows us how human we are, and how merciful our Father is.
Human: FEAR
Jesus: “It’s me, Jesus, don’t be afraid.”
Human: TEST JESUS, JUST TO MAKE SURE: “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”
Jesus: (No hesitation) “Okay, come.”
Human: See’s wind coming. FEAR. “LORD SAVE ME!”
Jesus: (Immediately) grabs hold, “Why are you afraid, again?”
Human: WHOA, YOU ARE GOD!
It’s so silly, isn’t it? But we are all guilty of it. Jesus says who He is, and we test Him, He is patient in our testing in our attempts to validate who He says He is.
Worldly worries come at us, and we scream “Lord, HELP ME. Save me from this desert season! Where are you?!” And He saves us, over and over, until our little minds comprehend the fact that God IS good... Then we praise Him with thanksgiving... only to fall into fear again, and the cycle repeats.
Jesus, you are good. Let’s stop this vicious cycle of faith and fear!

Each light reveals a different truth — one shows your steps, the other your fear.
You stand between them, realizing both are real, both are you.
When two paths illuminate you, which one reveals your steps, and which one reveals your fear?
Scene 2 — The Voice That Spoke in Straight Lines
The warm light steadies into a single golden beam.
It cuts through the darkness like a ruler pressed against the void.
Then comes the voice — simple, commanding, without reason.
“Walk.”
No promises. No explanations.
You feel the geometry of obedience: trust moves without proof.
What voice gives no reasons because it doesn’t need them?
Scene 3 — The Voice That Spoke in Shapes
The golden beam trembles.
From the shadows, a silver spiral coils around it — logic made visible.
It speaks in your own voice, older, armored with reasons.
“If you go left, consider the implications.”
“If you go right, calculate the risks.”
The spiral protects, but protection becomes a cage.
What voice sounds wise but only repeats your fears in better language?
Scene 4 — The Distortion Between Them
The two voices speak at once — and the corridor bends.
Walls twist inward, reflections ripple, shadows split.
The golden beam holds; the silver spiral tightens.
Reality fractures under dual allegiance.
You are not confused — you are divided.
What happens to a man who tries to obey two masters that disagree?
Scene 5 — The Moment of Single Signal
The distortion collapses.
The corridor straightens.
Gold and silver merge into a single white‑gold beam — pure, silent, whole.
No shadows remain.
The air is still.
You realize clarity was never found; it was chosen.
You cannot follow God and your fear at the same time. One will always distort the other.

When we move with FAITH we move with courage, strength, grace and the knowing that what we want is just on the other side of the hurdle. We have a knowing that whatever is happening to us is a reflection of our thoughts and emotions or of the collective and we also have the power to change it with Faith. When we move with FEAR, we project powerlessness and doubt. We lose our trust in the Divine and most importantly in ourself. After all we are created in the image and likeliness is the Divine, God himself. That power is always within you. The stamp of Divinity was placed on your heart from beginning of time, you have access to it 24 7. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things unseen." This is an unshakable, Biblical hope that cannot be separated from faith. Fear is the opposite of faith. It's the other side of the coin and lacks any faith at all. It denies the hope that God will take care of us no matter what trials we come up against. Faith is a gift from God that will protect, comfort, and help us during the scary times (Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Timothy 1:7). By growing in our faith, fear will find it more difficult to get ahold of us.
