Hríd - Ferryman of the Dead

Ever since I've got to know that Hríd's sword, Gjöll is the river that flows at the border of Niflheim and Helheim, separating the living from the dead in Norse Mythology, I wanted to create this fanart. The idea came from the very similar river in Greek Mythology, Styx, which is the home of a lone ferryman, Charon. He leads the souls of the dead over the river to find peace in their eternal slumber.

I pictured Hríd, the wielder of Gjöll, as this man. We could say this fanart is a Halloween fake alt... Or he could be another General of Hel's army, like Líf and Thrasir.

I’ll be honest. I don’t think Corrin belongs on this banner at all, but. At the very least, if they were going to put her on here, I would’ve liked a design that was more than just an added tail, so I ended up making my own interpretation of her for this banner! (I’m actually pretty proud of it too hehe.)
