Drunk Identity Disorder
DID is an initialism for "Drunk Identity Disorder" and describes a condition triggered by the consumption of alcohol. While under the influence, the behavior of Individuals suffering from DID changes completely- so much that, when sober again, they fail to identify with their "drunk self". Loss of memory is a common symptom that adds to the feeling of alienation towards oneself. The illness is commonly classified as substance-induced personality disorder. There is no cure; however, patients are symptom-free while abstaining from the substance. The most famous awareness campaigns promoted the apt slogan: "No A-L-C, no D.I.D."
