If someone had told Sunny that he’d make most of his money by being a babysitter here in California, he would’ve laughed in their face. And yet here he is, doing exactly that for a kid that’s barely older than his son, tied to some low life asshole that can’t be bothered to look after the boyfriend he claims to be over the moon about.
He’s hated Jeongsu since the moment they first made contact with each other.
But whatever. Money is money, and eomma has medical bills she needs paid off. Besides, being in California has its benefits; Sammy can look at the colleges he’s interested in, and they can spend their down time on the beach as long as his kid wants.
Sunny adjusts his sweater as he follows Woori through the store. He supposes he’s had worse gigs. He hasn’t had to steal anything - which he enjoys doing. He hasn’t had to hurt or kill anyone - which isn’t always enjoyable. And Woori himself isn’t so bad. He’s sweet, and he’s generous, and his company is nice. Reaching out, Sunny takes the three shopping bags from Woori’s hand. “Are you planning on staying here overnight?” he asks with a teasing smile. “You’ve been in this store for about an hour. There’s more you wanted to go to.”
