Red sugar cookies, intended to be in the shape of Spiderman’s head, but which turned out to look a lot like HUMAN TONGUES... In case you need a spooky cookie idea.

Balls of dough were rolled in red sanding sugar before being placed on the sheet and pressed flat. I think it’s the red sugar crystals pressed into the surface of the red dough that creates that texture. I imagine that if you scored a crease down the center before baking, they’d look even more like tongues.
