my Gen 10 evolved starter designs! 💧🌱🔥
Pombon's final stage is based on Kintamani dogs and the street dogs of Bali, as well as a Filipino myth of a dog who ascended to heaven to steal fire for humans, scorching its fur in the process. I think the pointed ears and curled tail make it a fitting evolution from the Pomeranian. I had to mess around with the colors on this a lot to balance the fire and fairy typings that I had in mind. I don't really have a basis for this typing (fire/flying would make more sense), I just think it'd be neat! Everyone loves a cute dog!
DEX ENTRY: Its fiery crest burns brighter the fiercer its loyalty to its trainer. It climbs tall mountains to prove its bravery.

Browt's final stage is based on the hornbills native to Indonesia! The crest shape is specifically based on that of the Rhinoceros hornbill, with the markings and colors on a few other hornbill species combined. The combination of the frown and leafy brow gave this design a grumpy look, so I leaned into that and made it a fighting type - which works since culturally, the species is considered "chiefly!" Do I think they'll do two fighting-type bird starters in a row? Maybe idk.
DEX ENTRY: It adorns its feathery cloak with beautiful flowers, which it waters with the rain it gathers in its leafy crest. It has a chiefly attitude, and aims to be a supreme battler.

Gecqua's final stage is based on the Philippine sailfin lizard, also known as the hydrosaurus as it is semiaquatic and lives around water and mangrove swamps. It has vivid blue accent scales and a sail which allows it to swim! I thought the purple eyes on Gecqua would look good as a poison-type, and I tried to balance the markings of both it and the sailfin lizard.
DEX ENTRY: Its eyes and lips drip with poison, staining its scales. It relaxes in mangrove trees, running on water in short bursts to escape danger.
