The grass starter for my fakemon region, Gloveil!

Moorel (lvl 18) -> Phosbos (lvl 36) -> Loombrataur The mushroom on its head shrinks as this Pokemon ages, providing important nutrients that it needs to grow. In return, a fully grown Loombrataur allows the mushroom to spread its spores into the moss that grows on its back, propogating the next generation.

These guys are Grass/Light types (Light being one of my fan-made types)! They're based on the zodiacs Taurus and Libra, and are centered around the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

Moorel starts out as a curious, but shy little baby, hiding beneath its giant mushroom and long ears like a security blanket. When it evolves into Phosbos, it becomes excited about exploring the world. Its enthusiasm blossoms into literal flowers and greenery that grows wherever it sets it feet! And finally, as Loombrataur, it becomes a wise and enlightened forest guardian, with a reverence for the cycle of life and death. I had a lot of fun designing them!

Name Origins:

Moorel - "moo" + "morel," a type of mushroom

Phosbos - "phosphorus" and "bos," which is Latin for "cow"

Loombrataur - "luminous" + "mushroom" + "libra" + "taurus"

Here's a blast from the (not so distant) past. Back in 2020 I drew fakemon starters.

The theme I chose for them was energy.

Grass(/Electric) type starter, based on solar power. A very chill line of slow, special tanks with great special attack.

Fire(/Ground) type, inspired on geothermal energy. A trio of bulky weirdos with high attack and speed.

And the Water(/Steel) starters, inspired on hidraulic energy. Very defensive and surprisingly speedy crabs.

Took inspiration in dimetrodon, spinosaurs, solar panels and leaves in general.

They are chill and lazy, they love sunbathing near rivers, where they hunt.

Inspired mostly by worms, with a bit of naked mole rat and star-nosed mole sprinkled in there, and creatures from myth, like the Olgoi Khorkhoi, or pop culture, like Dune or Tremors.

These ugly weirdos burrow by eating the ground, heating it up, and expelling it like a rocket/weapon. The first doesn't know it's weird, the middle is ashamed of it, the final is proud of it. They are my favourite.

Inspred by crustaceans, river crabs, hydraulic turbines, dams and the industrial revolution.

They are shy, modest and hardworking. Their lower half can spin like a turbine.

So... it's been a while.

Yeah I've been too busy and tired with college to draw anything, and honestly I'm not too happy with any of my school projects to post them here

HOWEVER

I finally learned 3D modelling this semester, and ya'll know what that means :))

These are still WIPs obvi

and I probably won't finish them anytime soon bc my teacher was helping me with rigging and weight painting

For now I think I'll start with Smokunk's model, and I KNOW modelling that guy is gonna be HELL, especially with its tail and ears... so wish me luck pls

Besides that, I still want to get better at digital art, so I think I'll try working more on my OCs, one of my classes made me realize I really have to lock in...
