In that flour sack episode, we see Sam draw a face and customize her baby so it’s alt, like her.
First of all, it’s cute af seeing Sam being maternal like that.
But I really love the idea that when Sam has kids, one of them is the opposite of her.
Like, her and Danny’s daughter winds up being a girly girl who loves pink and glitter and decides to be a cheerleader. And Sam embraces it. She supports it. She shows up to all the cheerleading completions and indulges her daughter in tea parties and playing princess and dressing up when she’s little. And she enjoys it. It’s not like the whole “I dislike this but I do it because I love you” situation.
When Sam’s mom sees that her granddaughter is the opposite of Sam, she gets smug and is like “let’s see how you like it”, thinking Sam is gonna be like her and want her kid to be alt. And Sam’s just like “I’m gonna be nothing like you” and she embraces and supports her for who she is.
Oh and this would apply to if this was her son as well. If her kids were jocks. Whatever
Random thought post of me gushing about one of my fave episodes (+DxS), don’t mind me- lol:
-Ok, not to sound too much like a sap over a 20+ year old Nicktoon... but like? Can I just take a moment to say how much I really, really appreciate DP for how they handled the whole "love spell" plot from the S1 episode "Fanning the Flames"?🙏
Like, esp with this being an early-2000s cartoon & all; most times out-of-10 you'd expect an episode focusing on "love spells" (+love potions) to be the target of either nothing but "lovey-dovey" jokes, and/or just plain ship fuel all together (+the object of desire eating up the "attention" (esp if they’re the one who gave the spell/potion) til they learn a valuable lesson at the end to not do that, etc. etc.)
-But here? When Sam could've very, VERY easily done that when Danny was focusing on her, for a change (compared to all the times he ogled Paulina + other girls)?
...Instead, girlie was DEADSET against taking advantage of Danny's sudden affections; even as Tucker teased at "knowing they'd end up together", she was firm in making sure Ember's spell was broken before it was too late (as you can tell in her tone of voice here). Which like... was so noteworthy to me, rewatching this series??🥺
Mind you, this very same episode, we do actually see Sam starting to show some budding feelings for Danny (from the initial intro, that moment in the school hallway, even as she & Danny were flying together over the town):
Even if Danny himself may not be aware of it (yet?), we see how much this boy means to Sam. Beyond just a crush, beyond just a hero, Danny is her friend. Her best friend. And the last thing she'd want is for him to get hurt (by ghosts, by the jerks at school, or even herself).
-heck, even when she had to make the decision to force Danny out of the spell via-heartache (aka: kissing his bully Dash); her immediate reaction after was to apologize to & comfort Danny??😭💜
Yes, she her does admit to have enjoyed some of the attention (albeit instinctually)... but it’s not enough to take away the impact of Sam’s care for Danny, here. Maybe someday, somehow, she could see them both “end up together”- but for now? It’s just not the time yet. And y’know what? That’s okay…
-‘Cause as long as Danny can get back up to do what he does best (be a good kid & save the day), that’s what matters most to Sam… when it all comes down to it 🥹💜💚.

Heyyy everybody, apologies for the delay in DP Next Gen stuff (for those who've been following me for it); had this one big idea for a cute family collage piece with the Fenton's (but kept on getting sidetracked by other things here & there, as usual T-T).
Still, I had ALOT of fun getting back to my roots with detailing the lives of Lilith & Morgan's upbringing… especially in time for the 21 year anniversary of Danny Phantom itself?? 😱😱 Maaaaan, how time flies… even if I may be a tad late to the party with celebrating, I can never forget the impact this silly ghost superhero series had on me, from 10+ years back & onwards~ 💚🤍
-Aaaaand with all that said, here's some detailed info below on each memory displayed here~ x3 For those curious/new to Morgan & Lilith in-particular, here's their bios too to read on their own! 👍
1) Danny & Sam (age 15) having their first date as an "official" couple; rocking it out at their favorite band's (Dumpty Humpty) concert live. After all they've been through with ghost fights, school, and other things throughout that whole year & a half ago (aka: the events of the canon series)… its a blessing to them both to have this moment to genuinely have fun as kids, again~ :3
2) Danny & Sam (age 22) having a special reunion moment on New Year's Eve; as around highschool graduation was the time they decided to take a "break" on their relationship to pursue the college life. While they still caught up now & then, arranging visits alongside Tucker & Jazz (+their other friends)… it was still a hard-but-necessary adjustment for everyone to figure out what they wanted in life. Within a few years time, and taking time to catch up after college graduation… from there, Danny & Sam couldn't help rekindling things, all over again~ 💕
3) Fast forward a few more years, and having done alot of maturing by this point… these spooky lovebirds decided to tie the knot, at last~ 💗(Its a bit hard to see here, but Sam's bridal look is meant to be a black & white long-sleeved fitted-gown with lacy trim, something like this; along with a blackish purple rose crown & spider-web veil~ 💜 )
4) About a year or so afterward, the couple were going about life as usual (ghost fighting, protecting the town, etc.)… up until a giggly bundle of joy decided to surprise the both of 'em, Lilith~ 💙x3 With her bright blue eyes, and fluffy head of hair, Lilith was as normal as any other baby… until she'd start floating around the room, echo around, or in this instance, use some invisibility powers to sneak into some food lol. Still, as both her mom & dad come to realize… how can one stay mad at that face?~ ;p
5) After a few more years ahead of Danny & Sam settling into parenthood, and Lilith's powers getting reigned in through the infancy years… another surprise greeted them in the form of a bouncing snow-haired bab, Morgan~ 💜^w^ To say toddler!Lilith was ecstatic to get a new baby sister to was an understatement; from the moment she held her, the Fenton sister bond would be set in stone~ x3
6) As nervous as Danny and Sam admittedly were, having another (potential) super-baby in the house… to their surprise, Morgan never showed any ghostly powers on her end; with her cooing, chubby-cheeked self being much more fixated on colors, snuggle time, and her first-ever favorite thing in life… Sayonara Pussycat (aka: the in-universe Hello Kitty lol)~ :3 🩷Nothing was gonna tear away this snow bean from the TV once Sayonara popped on (even if it was just a commercial); and so naturally that became the centerpiece of Morgan's 1st birthday (to her initial-delight…. aaaand then eventual embarrassment by her older years, whenever the memory's brought up~ lol ;P).
7) As Lilith & Morgan grew up through their childhood, both of them started to share their mother's taste in DIY arts & crafts. Halloween being the most hype time for the two of 'em to get as creative as they want with their special interests; for Lilith here, she decided to go as her favorite fairy princess on the hit show "Sparx Squad" (aka: in-universe "Winx Club" ;)). And as for Morgan, she's decided to go as a caped, firefly/alien-hybrid superheroine "Bug-A-Boo"; a special make-believe persona she & Danny came up with at playtime (space nerd genes kicking in lol)~ x3
8) Entering highschool, Lilith was determined to make the best of her teen years no matter what, and that included going to her Freshman school dance with her BFF, Darryl Foley~ ^w^ Though its simply a platonic gesture for the two of 'em here, they still had loads of fun dancing their awkward teen selves through many a cheesy pop song, raiding the snack bar, and joining their other friends later for a hangout at Nasty Burger later ;P 👍. 9) For her own high-school experience, Morgan… admittedly had it a bit rough coming to terms with her lack of ghost abilities, alongside the general fears of growing up (+feeling inadequate compared to her superpowered dad & sis :c ). At first, Morgan thought she'd be spending most of her teen years holed in her room, shying from the world… but soon, a chance for apprenticeship from Valerie's ghost hunter group gave her some hope. Valerie, tough as she is, wasn't about to let a bright young girl like Morgan lose confidence on her watch… and so came the long road ahead to train Morgan into a sleek & strong ghost hunter. The first of her missions being that of snagging down a runaway froggy ghost… which admittedly did get a bit messy, but was still a successful job, nonetheless~ 👏👏(Also a bonus for yall, this Morgan design here is a callback to her 2017 design from waaaay long ago, awkward bean vibes & all~ lol)
10) And so, from the years ahead of both Fenton sisters growing on their own accord… came the fateful day of Morgan saying goodbye to her highschool days, and onward towards the future~ 🥺💜As her mom, dad, and big sister are proud to proclaim… "Fentons Together, Fentons Forever~" 🤗💚🤍
I have transitioned from “when Danny loses it and is out of control, Sam is the only one that can calm him down” to “Sam is just going to be standing there and be like ‘you know what? If you’ve gotten Danny to this point you deserve what he’s going to do’”
Hello, all! I was hoping you could help me find an old DP fanfic. It’s years old. But it focuses on Sam. I could have sworn it was called “Song for the Rich” but when I searched that on FF.net, I got nothing.
It’s about a single chapter story that is in Sam’s pov and it’s about her having had an older sister she was close to, but then the sister began to date a terrible guy. And this leads to her doing drugs and becoming worse and worse. One day she decides to leave and expects Sam to come with her but Sam refuses. The sister says that Sam disappointed her the most out of everyone.
There’s a skip to when Sam is older and she’s with Danny and they are on a date. It’s raining and Sam sees a homeless woman who she gives her umbrella to. The woman is her sister and Sam runs away in her shock while her sister calls after her. Some time later, Sam gets a call that her sister died. Even more time goes by and Sam and Danny have a daughter who she named after her sister
Sam…is turned on by seeing him study. She loves seeing him hard at work especially because he enjoys the subject matter. Most of the time.
He will talk endlessly about Space and it’s mysteries and what he is learning and she will sit there listening with stars in her eyes. She loves hearing him talk about it and is genuinely interested.
She’s also amazing support through it all. Cups of coffee and meals bright to him while he studies. She makes sure he’s got water with him and she offered shoulder rubs and massages and makes sure he takes breaks.
Sam absolutely simps over Danny in a suit or tuxedo, in swim shorts. In a button down with the sleeves rolled up and the collar button undone. In really nice outfits…in sweatpants.
