S06E04 “Faking Miracles” Rewatch

The Blue Morpho’s story is so sad. He seems like such a genuinely good guy, in spite of Jonas’s initial distrust of him. Also, he corrects villains’ grammar as he’s defeating them, which is always endearing.

Hank wants steroids to get ripped. Brock gives him a hard no because it’s “cheating.” Ironic, as by the end of the episode, Dean gets a nanobot brain boost against his will thanks to his father and Conjectural Tech... AND BROCK. DUDE WHAT ARE YOU THINKING.

Dean trying to run is basically me trying to run.

I hate how I have to look back on this and see how creepy Hank’s relationship is with her. Watching her through windows, just FOLLOWING HER in the park, calling her a million times and getting put out when she’s not available. I mean... doesn’t excuse her way of dumping him, but I’m just :/

Ventures have no game. Please have them do some basic learning on consent; their father will never teach them.

I feel bad for Sirena having to put up with these douches in her life. They’re all overprotecting her, and she’s pretty hardcore. She could take care of herself. I forgot that she’s only 18. I don’t know why I expect her to deal with her relationships with more maturity than her older boyfriends do.

“I didn’t forget. I don’t wanna go to that. I hate those people.” Only time I like Malcom, I swear.

“I’m a little rusty. Not as in Rusty Venture, I mean--” Ha.

OMG Dean just got molested by nanobots. Criminy this show. Why is his life like this.

And why did JJ put a giant telescreen in the fucking bathrooms???

OMG, Sirena eats pizza with CLAMS. o.O

There are like, four BILLION pizza places in NYC and even more other food places Hank could work at. I’m just saying. He could probably get a car out of Rusty if he needed it for a job. He wouldn’t buy Hank a new one, but still.

You have to admit, running into her with the pizza is super cute. This episode sold it for me.

“You gotta turn down the gas a notch, Sylvia Plath.” I mean, Dean could use some real therapy more than additional mocking for feeling bad all the time.

I maintain that Brock gets business and knows how to sell people on ideas. He just prefers to roar and beat on shit. Good joke on “working for the government” giving him skills in how to lie his face off and make things sound good.

Monarch thinks Copycat is “classically handsome.” And he thinks Brock has a “nice ass,” by the way.

Pete and Billy fucking around the bio-bots.... and thus with Dean’s innards. PROJECTILE VOMIT! Shit, he had an ulcer. Poor kid. God, what a day. Tossing Brock, heart attack, heart restart, Gilgamesh downloaded into his brain, shot up with tranq darts.

Sirena and Hank’s meeting on the balcony is super cute, too. She’s impressed by guys who give no fucks about villains, clearly.

I’d forgotten Brock was in on fucking with Dean’s brain via bio-bots to get him into college. What happened to “that’s cheating”, Murder Dad?

And those residual nanobots stayed in Dean all summer and through to “The Curse of the Haunted Problem.” Who says they ever left? Can they still fuck with him with those things, or what? Does Rusty think they’re mostly gone? What do they do when they’re on their own? Just mill around in Dean’s body repairing random things? How long before they learn their own function and just STAY THERE?
