Sam and rhodey handcuffed for 24 hrs together as crushes challenge

how do they get handcuffed together?? Tony’s PR team said that they needed to “improve” their image to the general public, and Spiderman accidentally mentioned youtube in front of Thor - and now the Avengers have a youtube channel
Ostensibly, its for the youtube channel. In reality; if Tony and Steve have to spend another second watching their bestfriends uselessly pining (and being sworn to silence) they might actually do something drastic
(more drastic than handcuffing Sam and Rhodey together)
initially, it’s fine, because there isn’t much to do on a Friday, and JARVIS is filming the whole thing which means they don’t have someone following them around all day
(they tried letting Thor film the first couple of episodes but he got so excited that he electrocuted the camera)
so it’s fine. It’s not like it’s a hardship for Sam and Rhodey to spend time together; it’s actually quite common for them to end up doing things together when Rhodey’s stateside
even more so now that Tony and Steve are in a relationship; and Rhodey’s leave coincides with anniversaries or Valentine’s Day - so it’s fine. they can do this, it’s no big deal
and then JARVIS announces that it’s move night; just like it is every single Friday - and both Sam and Rhodey feel familiar dread overtake them because they’re practically attached to the hip (see: handcuffed together) and this means they need to snuggle
as in, intentionally snuggle instead of the song and dance they’ve been doing for the past year where Sam pretends to be sleepy and loll his head onto Rhodey’s shoulder and neither of them talk about how Rhodey shifts so that Sam can lay on his chest and wraps his arm around Sam’s waist
it takes some manoeuvring, and very pointed ignorance towards the smug look that Clint is sending their way - but they manage to find a comfortable position eventually; with Sam nestled between Rhodey’s legs and their handcuffed hands laying over Sam’s shoulder and resting on his chest
It looks like they’re a couple
(Tony thinks that if they could just get their heads out of their asses, they would be a couple and he wouldn’t have to resort to drastic measures like handcuffing them together)
(Steve agrees, but that might have a lot to do with how much he loves Tony and his chronic inability to disagree with Tony out of the field)
