hey so, i wrote a thing. cause i love my three caps together like a bunch of rambunctious frat boys on steroid supreme. tbh, its a snippet from a something else but it goes like this;
Retrospectively, Steve thinks that his statement wasn’t entirely bullshit as Tony claims it to be.
“At least 65%,” he heaves, coming to a stop where Sam’s already flat on his back under a tree.
“What about me then?” Bucky punches his arm on his way to leap over Sam’s body so he’s a human shield away from however Steve wants to reciprocate his violence.
“Is it the whole soldier thingy cause that’s just fucking rude Stevie - how dare you!?” Bucky’s voice gets louder by the end.
“It’s cause you’re mean and you physically abuse me on a regular basis. Not counting that time you destroyed the helicarrier and put me in the hospital cause that’ll put you in the negative.”
Bucky’s eyes bulge before he spits out, “Oh wow. Fuck you, Steven.”
“Yeah well, you too Buck.” Steve shrugs, watching him stomp away somewhere out of sight, but Steve never takes his attention off of Bucky even when Sam quips something at him.
“Am I the child of divorced parents now?”
“If anyone’s the divorced parents, it’s you and Bucky,” Steve snorts.
The complete silence from Sam rips his eyes away from where Bucky went off. Steve looks at Sam staring up at him with an unimpressed glare and rolls his eyes. “Oh come on, everyone knows I’m right.” He plops heavily onto the ground.
“Arrogance and assholery does not become of you, Captain America,” Sam tsks with a shake of his head.
“Unthinkable,” Steve blinks.
“Captain Unthinkable. That’s what Tony called me yesterday.” Steve turns to Sam who in turns frowns then blinks as if the bulb just went off in his head. Then a slow cheshire grin takes up his entire face making Steve feel the urge to knock a tooth off just to make that gap on his front upper row wider.
But something hard hits his head the very next second and he whips back to see the tail end of Bucky booking off towards the compound. “Buck!” Steve stands up at the same time Sam hollers, “Motherfucker cracked your skull open, ho-holly shiiiit!”
He feels the trickle of something down his neck before he spots the blood stained rock by his feet. “Crazy bastard.”
