Signs of Fall, NYC by Liza Charlesworth
Hey Y’all
So I’m really looking forward to all of the Baddie Brigade things I have planned for us. Slow and steady wins the race; plus I’m only competing against myself so I’m going to win anyway, y’know?
With Fall making it’s way to NYC, here are a few things I’m looking forward to:
Bryant Park’s Winter Village: I have been FEENIN’ to go to this for the past two years and of course, the only person holding me back was me. Girl, anyway, every year, opening on Halloween I believe, Bryant Park turns into a beautiful, smell-good village with ice skating, vendors selling food and artisanal gifts, along with renting plastic igloos where you and some friends can share spiked bevs and food. Oh and they have ice bumper cars which seems pretty self-explanatory. I WILL be going this year, trust.
Heated Rooftop Bars: Yes, you heard me correctly, put me on a mf rooftop! Ever since I cut and dyed my hair, I’ve been feeling like a roaming candle and I need this new do to shine bright like a topaz diamond in the night okay?! Although the temp will drop, there are a few heated and indoor rooftops with panoramic views. Date night me please! Here’s one I have at the top of my list: Ophelia’s Rooftop & Lounge.
Apple Picking & Apple Cider Donuts & Spiked Apple Cider & Apple Pie & App-: Well you get the idea. I love me some apple flavored desserts and I copped a new camera so I want to get some good shots of the Fall foliage that will grace NYC this year. Although I don’t have a specific place that I want to go as of yet, I’m hoping I can at least gorge on some warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream. YUM!
Flying Trapeze: For my Spring break this year, I took a trapeze class at the Trapeze School of NY in Brooklyn and I loved it. One: It’s CRAZY on the body and you will look like a lean, mean, sexy flying machine. Also, I love adrenaline, so it’s the perfect fitness class for me. I’m going to try and start going once a month and it’s only $60 per class! Safe, fun, and different.
Flirting: *enters my Libra Venus* Having self-confidence, true love and patience for self, and feeling more womanly than ever has really been a LIFE CHANGER. I feel more me, more fun, and as a result, more flirtatious. I’m a naturally flirty person. I like making people feel good, I like feeling good and I love to hear that swish when the shot goes in. Feel meeeee. But yeah, the holiday season feels hella romantic, especially in NYC and I’m ready to enjoy it.
What are you looking forward to this Fall? Put me on!!!
