- the most beautiful thing about you -

do you ever sit with your emotions, annoyed at your personality? Lord, i love my empathy. i love that i feel deeply. i love that i can cry with someone easily. i love my ability to tell if someone isn’t okay even when they smile. but then it sucks when you feel misunderstood or like there’s something wrong with you. it sucks when you’re hurt. because it doesn’t just hurt, it ends up stabbing you in places you didn’t know could be penetrated. it fills your mind and comes out of your eyes in the form of tears. there’s a throbbing in my stomach just thinking about it. but Jesus made personalities so perfectly and everyone is unique and i think it’s incredible that His creativity is displayed through people and their quirks. but, dang, its hard at times. 

i think everyone has something they don’t like about their personality. and i think it turns out, more often than not, that the thing you don’t like about yourself is the most beautiful thing about you.
