So I just watched Fall (2022) with my dad and was it technically a pretty good movie? Yeah, I’d say so. Did I enjoy it and will I be rewatching it? Hell no. Never. I know why I usually don’t watch movies like these. Because they always leave me deeply uncomfortable. Wasn’t different this time around (surprise surprise, who could’ve guessed that). Honestly the only thing I really enjoyed was Hunters death (reveal). It was a nice twist and one I very much didn’t expect even though it fit very nicely into the narrative. That being said, most of the rest of the movie was pretty predictable and, as for most thrillers like this, the drama and thrill was in my opinion overcomplicated and overstretched

Mini-review:
I vaguely remember this movie going viral a few years ago, and it had me wondering how in the world that concept could be stretched into feature length. Well, now that I've watched it... that's exactly its main problem. Dragging such a simple concept for so long only gives way to crazier and crazier nonsense, which then culminates with an even more mind-boggling twist. It certainly doesn't help that the acting is uneven at best or that the script is basically ridiculous. Still, as someone with a pretty strong fear of heights, I'll tell you that a couple of scenes had me crawling out of my skin. But even then, I'm not quite sure Fall is worth the watch...
..
i just watched Fall, and im traumatized. it just kept getting worse and worse, the message was that lifes to short so you should live, i think, but all the movie made me wanna do is cry. anyways i hope i never have to watch it again.

That girl from Fall: I don't know how this happens, I keep going up to high places and then people I love fall right off
Me: it sounds like you're feeding cherished loved ones to the hungry abyss, that's what
Fall 2022 is a batshit insane movie and everyone needs to watch it. (Spoilers ahead) Two friends (Becky and Hunter) decide to climb this 2000ft tower in the middle of the desert. Only to get stuck on said tower (with no WiFi) when the rusty ladder falls to the ground.
They're stuck for a number of days while they try different things to get help—with no luck. (There's also Chekhov's Scavenger Bird. Who will be very important later on) Eventually, Hunter decides to climb down to the satellite to retrieve the bag with their water that fell earlier. However she almost falls to her death when Chekhov's Bird decides to attack Becky (who's pulling the rope up). Thankfully, Hunter is able to grab the rope at the last minute and is pulled up.
After this there's a full like, five minute scene where Becky climbs further up the tower to DIY charge the drone (only for the drone to be hit by a semi). It's then revealed that, actually Hunter did fall to her death and Becky has been hallucinating her friend for a full day.
This was a twist I fully did not see coming and which left me deeply shocked.
Then Becky puts her phone in her dead friends shoe, shoves the shoe in the eaten part of Hunter's stomach (Chekhov's bird, again) and shoves her dead friend off the tower so she can get rescued.
Also Jeffery Dean Morgan is Becky's dad.
