The best way to deal with someone like Freddy Kreuger was through a dreamer's dreams. He had become a problem as of late and there was a bit of deliberation as to how Hellsing was going to put a stop to his wave of terror. Claire offered herself for this task and not just because she felt like she was the best choice, but also for the fact that she wanted to test her rapidly increasing strength as a draculina. What better way to it was this? One didn't know what they were truly capable of until put to the limits. A cruel doctrine, but it was the most effective teaching method that Claire had become used to since her turn.

The only way that Freddy would enter her dreams was if she was afraid of him. As a mercenary, she had to teach herself to not be afraid of anything in her way lest it become her downfall. Steadily, she had allowed those very defenses that made up her persona as Claire Delacroix to lower and her heart to experience that trepidation that he could put in to her mind. Would he be able to unravel her? Others had tried, but they did not possess the caliber that Freddy himself did. It was masochistic of her, yes -- perhaps even downright foolish, but she did take up this mission. And she would see its' end however possible.

That night, where she would have been active to fulfill her duty as a creature of the night, she would be found resting in her coffin. For now, she was peacefully asleep...but that state of mind would be disturbed very soon...
