The girl was getting restless. Being surrounded by half the town was definitely not how most of the residents wanted to spend their holidays. Florencia wasn’t even the celebratory type but at the very least, she wanted a peaceful Christmas with her family, whom she didn’t even know where they were currently. 

“Fucking hell.” She scowled, “Have you seen my sister? Or brother?” Her mom was a nurse so she was bound to be where the rest of the medical professionals were. The rest of her family was what was worrying her.

Miller opened the door to the last classroom making a clean sweep, before locking the door and closing it behind her, essentially ensuring that possible entryway was blocked and the hallways secure. She radioed it across to the other deputies currently stationed at the gym itself, but made no move to keep holster her weapon. Catching sight of someone not wearing the appropriate attire to signal them as one of hers, she lifted the weapon back up in the dim hallway.  “State your name and business?”
