Lina wasn't certain where to deliver this letter to, so she entrusted it to the moogles. Inside the envelope a letter as well as a handful of shiny trinkets. The letter read, "Jacques, I know I'm not in a position to be asking anything of you, since we don't know each other very well. Even so, I know how fond you are of the dragons in Anyx Trine. I have to go away for a while, and I don't want Sleipnir to get lonely. Will you check on him from time to time? Don't give him sugar. Love, Lina."
The letter had found its way to him easily enough... and while Jacques was never that fond of the Moogles to begin with, usually whenever one came knocking it meant something was needed. His eyes squinted ever so slightly as the poor thing seemed to be utterly exhausted, how long had it been trying to find him if it was huffing and puffing for breath?
A low sigh came from the Au Ra before he carefully took the letter that the furry little creature had brought him and he dismissed it so it could go rest. This wasn’t a letter from anyone that normally sent him things and now he was curious... slitting open the top with a claw he found the trinkets inside to be... strange at first but then once he took the letter out and began to read, well it made sense. Somewhat.
Mix colored eyes scanned over the writing and he had to go over it several times just to make sure he’d read it correctly. While he hadn’t known Lina for long, she was a comforting presence whenever he did see her. Especially whenever he happened to be out near Anyx Trine... her bubbly personality always seemed to bring a smile to his face and cheer him up in the worst of times.
His tail twitched as he tried to figure out just why she had sent this to him... this wasn’t normal for her. Even if he didn’t know her for long he knew her personality and this... this wasn’t right, something was off and he was feeling that worry beginning to pool in his gut. Another twitch of the tail came and he grimaced ever so slightly before finally settling on going to the place in question. Perhaps she was still there?
Teleporting was never fun but given how urgent things seemed the Au Ra didn’t seem to care. Once there, the man was scaling up towards the top... keeping an eye out in case Lina could potentially be there, but he wasn’t going to find anything. A frown crossed his features as he walked out onto one of the large platforms and he stood near a Wyvern that was resting nearby... the Dragons always seemed to enjoy his company so why not spend a moment with one while he tried to wrap his mind around this letter.
Nothing was right about it... why would Lina send this to him and give him the thought that... she wasn’t coming back? His lips curled into a grimace as he once again read the parchment over repeatedly... not even realizing that he suddenly had a familiar little whelp landing on his shoulder until the thing had chirped at him which caused him to jump ever so slightly... “....... I hope she comes back...” he muttered out as he carefully brought a hand up to rest on Sleipnir’s back “For you and for everyone else that will miss her...”
