Chuck had been a prophet. Yes, he had been. Back then when he’d been told about his role in the life of Dean and Sam Winchester, he’d been convinced he was something more but after he’d been locked up in Heaven for eternity, he knew he wasn’t. He wasn’t special in the slightest. Whether it was physical appearance, mental stability or well, being more than a prophet.
Being a prophet sounded like something special and back then, he might even have believed it, but in all honesty. Being a damn prophet had done nothing, but ruin his life. He couldn’t live without drinking himself to sleep, couldn’t properly sleep even when drunk, couldn’t think, couldn’t do anything else than write the Supernatural books and he’d hated his life. Not that he hated it any less now.
The angels had fallen, that much he knew, but apart from that? Nothing. He’d come down on Earth, yes, but before he could do anything close to calling the Winchesters for help, he’d been taken again. The same, short angel who locked him up before, only now he was trapped in a different place.
He needed food and water -so he had to be on earth- and lived in what looked like an ordinary room. Why lock him up again? Why keep him prisoner in the first place? He was a lousy prophet and rumors said, he wasn’t even that anymore, ever since he’d been taken from earth.
Said there was a new one who’d taken his place. Chuck still had the visions though, less frequent and less story-telling, but he had them. He didn’t tell anybody though, not even the angel (he guessed the other was an angel too or he wouldn’t be working for the short, ugly angel who trapped him) who brought him food and water and sometimes even stayed some, so Chuck wouldn’t go completely insane.
"Will I ever get out?" he asked the angel who was sat in a chair in Chuck’s ‘room’. "I’m just a puny human." he frowned. He had enough of being locked up for no reason. He knew their little ‘chatting’ time was over soon, but he couldn’t help but try and get some answers at least.
