😤 :Worse role play-related encounter and what advice you would give to others to avoid similar situations?

Oh I have so many, that most memories of rping is dealing with bullshit. But the most annoying was out a doubt:

This one time this fucker STOLE my @xaleera blog AND FOLLOWED ME. And like they couldn’t exactly copy my theme, but they tried damned hard. Then was rping with my Dracula partner and tried to copy the way I write. Okay so news flash, I re-use a lot of words and “lilt” is one of them, I can recognize someone trying to copy my writing style. They also used my mun FC.

But then they deleted that blog…then remade, then deleted, then remade

The next day, they were back. I PURPOSELY posted an in depth “about the muse” thing so I could watch them. When they followed me again on that blog, I went to their about and every single thing on my about the muse had been copied with a variation on ONE thing, my Aleera’s birthday was in like September, she made her Aleera’s birthday in August. That was the only thing different.

Then when I called her out, she was like I AM BIPOLAR AND AUTISTIC YOU ARE MAKING ME FEEL BAD….then FINALLY apologized and she deleted.

Now I love duplicates, I would have rp’d with her Aleera if she hadn’t have copied me. But this particular person is/was notorious for it. She stole OCs as well. Idk if she’s still active but she was in the OUaT fandom and the Dracula fandom, that much I do know.

My advice is, if you see a duplicate, don’t be like COPYCAT. No don’t do that. 99.99% of the time a duplicate is just someone that loves thecharacter just as much as you do, but I advise to keep an eye out because it could happen, and it did happen to me.

Outside the smell of rain was in the air but the summer heat had been relentless, the hope of rain was a sliver of a chance, but the smell remained.

Her thoughts drifted back to where she was now, away from the stifling southern summer heat and to the man gently touching her thigh. So many things had changed since Woodbury. She had believed that they were never to meet again, but here he was with her.

This could also go for characters in general too. I hate when people bash characters and then TAG it. There’s nothing I hate more than seeing hate of any kind in the tags. It’s like, don’t people understand that other people might like this character and they don’t want to see it?

^^Exactly! Cause it goes right in there and people that search those tags cause they like the character/ship end up seeing it and it’s awful. Like you shouldn’t have to go into the tags looking for anything new only to come up with hate surrounding everything. I truly feel like respect has lost its meaning somewhere.

Carolyn had fallen behind because of the responsibilities she had now that her mother was diagnosed as terminal. It had put a strain on everyone, though their cheery dispositions were always in place. Sarah and John held hope that this was just an obstacle that they could beat while Carolyn did everything that a teenager could do to help out.

Mechanic work wasn’t the most lenient of jobs, so when John had to take his wife to chemo, it came down to Carolyn to make up those lost wages, thus came the thirty hour work week for the seventeen year old while trying and struggling with her last few years of high school.

Seeing the grade, a giant red D, was like a slight against her; she could feel the sting as if it were a slap out of fevered anger. She’d failed so many times before, but this test, she had studied and studied. Working and taking care of her mother had taken a toll on her school work. She’d slipped behind a chapter, and one chapter became two and two became three until it was almost impossible for her to catch up with everyone in the class.

‘I’ll do better’

That’s all she could think of. She’d kept her mother’s illness under lock and key, not being able to tell a soul without the fear of breaking down. While her parents held out hope, she knew that it took more than four months to defeat cancer, and it had already taken her mother down so far, there was no coming back from the death warrant the doctor had given.

She’d do better. Where there was a will, there was a way.
