Hyuuung, a new hotpot place opened up near the association. Wanna go together?
@fallennewmoon
Xavier's blinks in his direction, heart lighting up at the sound of hotpot immediately but only tilting his head a little.
"I got to taste test it before they opened. They're a little unusual, some kind of fusion menu. I'd be curious to see your expression..." With that he nods, a small smile curling at the corners of his mouth. "Sure. Are you heading there now?"
Sun....bae... No I don't mind either. Does this mean we're close? What should I call you?
[Frown] Am I the only one you call that?
I would hope so? I mean, aren't we... friends?
<He winced. They'd never talked about it before. Had he been presumptuous with his assumption? His right hand twitched, and he made the conscious effort to not fiddle with his hands, shoving them into his pockets.>
The same way you've been calling me; Illie or Ilkay is fine.
<He paused at the question, hesitating without knowing the reason why.>
[Just cause I wanna see his reaction to Ilkay making a fool of himself. Also WELCOME BACK]
One second he's walking steadily beside Sylus, quietly singing a song in his head. The next, his balance tips of kilter as his foot catches on something.
“Oop–” he doesn't even fight it, doesn't try to steady himself, he just ragdolls and falls, landing on the floor with a thud. He closes his eyes as he lies there, stewing on the pain flaring through his back with a clenched jaw.
He opens his eyes with a sigh heavy with embarrassment and quite acceptance and stares blankly at the sky of the N109zone, “Oh my, the sky looks so beautiful from down here,” he drawls.
Although his tone is sarcastic, the growing smile on his face betrays his current mood as embarrassment turns into amusement over his current state. Laughter bubbles up, and by the time he turns to look at Sylus, his shoulders are shaking with it, “Wanna join me and look at it together?”
muse’s reaction
Sylus pauses, arching a brow as he watches the ragdoll spectacle before him. A faint chuckle escapes, rich and amused.
“Only you could turn a simple stroll into a dramatic floor inspection,” he murmurs, voice smooth, teasing. He lets his Evol hum softly, a subtle red mist swirling around his hands as the air shifts, lifting Ilkay effortlessly back onto his feet.
“There,” he says, setting him down with the precision of a master, his grip never letting go until balance is assured. “Much better view from upright, wouldn’t you agree? I think the view improves significantly when one isn’t horizontal.”
His eyes glimmered with faint amusement as he regarded Ilkay, the red sheen of his aethercore catching the dim light of the N109 sky. “But, if it’s the sky you want to admire,” he added, inclining his head slightly toward the horizon, “I can promise you a proper vantage point. Upright, this time.”
[ SLUMBER ]: sender picks up and carries the receiver because they're so sound asleep that they won't easily wake up.
"Sometimes I envy you," he mutters in a whisper, looking down to the man in his arms, currently traveling in his dreams to god knows what faraway land, "you just fall asleep like nothing, one blink and you're gone." There's a bit of humour in his voice, a smile showing through, but it all goes away in the next second. "But sometimes I worry too." He adds, even more quietly than before.
He doesn't say anything else the rest of the way, only the sound of Xavier's soft breathing and Ilkay's footsteps filling in the silence. He's careful with where he steps, making sure not to jostle him too much.

Xavier hasn't heard it, he can't hear anything at all except the ringing in his ears that only sleep could mute. Now soundly asleep, he isn't dreaming of anything. It's as if his soul is waiting for something.
The steady movements don't stir him, but rather create a gentle lull while his body recovers from excessive use of evol.
He'd almost overdone it, but was able to stop and rest before symptoms worsened.
Now his body begins to awaken - not because of the movement, but because subconsciously, he feels safe.
"Mmm..." He stirs, and then blinks a few times at the moving sky above him. Confusion overtakes him, and then recognition of the messy tuft of light hair bobbing above him, and then embarrassment.
Xavier has never been held, much less carried, unless in great danger. It's more than a little unnerving.
Rather than panic, he groans and turns his head.
"You.... I'm awake, you can put me down. I can still walk..."
"Wait a second, you've got something in your hair. Let me just..." ✋

He halts his movements, tilting his head down and bending his knees to crouch slightly, making it easier for Delia to reach and fix his hair.
He's quiet as he patiently waits, blinking slowly with each brush of her fingers against his head. With nothing else to do, his attention goes to her. Her scent, taking over his sense of smell, her concentrated expression.
The small scar on her left eyebrow calls for his attention, but he keeps quiet. Although he doesn't care much about being questioned over his own scars, he doesn't know her stance on it. So, he shifts to something else.
The down-turned shape of her eyes, the color, how the light hits them. He quietly notes everything down, memorizing her without a second thought.
"What was it?" He asks softly, still lost in the little haze created by the quiet, straightening up once he's sure she's done.
Sylus arches a brow, the corner of his mouth twitching into a faint smirk. “Happy halloween to you too, Ilkay,” he repeats, deliberately mimicking the tone before chuckling under his breath.
“You almost sound like the twins when you talk like that,” he muses, leaning back with an amused glint in his crimson eye. “Tell me... have you been spending a little too much time around them lately?”
He gestures toward the offered options, considering for a moment before reaching out with a gloved hand. “I’ll take the chocolate,” he decides “I’m not much for lollipops…”
Xavier doesn't answer at first. He rolls over and hopes his voicemail will suffice. The persistent notification makes him at least check to see who could be disturbing his sound slumber at this ungodly hour. The screen name makes him groan and he's answering. Coworkers usually needed something. He was half hoping it was a frivolous question so he could be upset. If it was an emergency though... better to be safe than sorry.
"Illie?" A yawn. "Please don't say you got into trouble at this hour."
