the way a lot of you treat fic writers makes me feel like you don't deserve to have fic writers and the work they produce.

there's this sense of entitlement that a lot of you seem to have. which is surprising considering that fanfiction is free and you have the option to simply not read it if you don't like it.

this is a reason why a lot of writers leave platforms like this. because readers assume they can lecture and harass writers into writing what they want.

please know that we do appreciate the support and love that is given towards us as writers but a line has to be drawn when you're being rude and disrespectful. especially when the writer has placed proper tags and made it clear about how the direction the fic is taking.

stop being so weird and sincerely get a grip.

SkyFayel - Anytime Rafayel sings or hums, literally anytime. Sky gets the worst heart eyes. If she has the audacity, she'll harmonize but only after being comfortable with him enough to get over the "oh god what if I sing terrible to him or he hates my harmony oh god" But yeah his voice is one of her favorite things and she usually demands to hear it more. Rafayel also loves hearing her hum to herself but he also loves the random taps she gives him out of habit. Two squeezes to say I love you before she lets go of his hand, a tap to get his attention, a tap to soothe him, lots of random touches and taps she doesn't realize that she does that drive him crazy and yet show she cares without saying a whole lot.

🎐 Wind Chime — What sound instantly makes her think of him? What sound would instantly make him think of her?

SkyFayel - Unfortunately seagulls are now associated with Rafayel to the point where if she heard one squawking she would look in the direction to see if he's nearby.

He hears her in the most random things, like the swirl of an iced drink, the opening of an aluminum can because she drinks a lot of seltzer water, the jingle of keys because while no one really has keys anymore she has a decorative keychain collection on her purse, the sound of a lip gloss tube popping open... the sound of the ocean. He's hopeless.

StarVier aka Star^2 - Star definitely looks at his butt. LOL. Half kidding. She also gets lost in his eyes, who doesn't. Xavier really likes everything about her but he'd probably say "her face" and then have trouble picking one feature... definitely her eyes and lips? Maybe her mouth specifically? Probably? He'd have something deeply poetic about it, the bastard. "Her mouth, where the voice that first wished on this star came forth, where the cry to "run" broke through the darkness of my life, emerged. StarLuke - Tons and tons of selfies, cute poses of them in front landmarks, mirror checks, the bonfire they build in the desert together, mephisto who showed up to say hello, Kieran who also inevitably showed up to crash say hello, s'mores with sticky fingers, some interesting weird foods they're trying in an exotic place, Star hunched over a toilet with a thumbs up from food poisoning. Her favorite one is a shot like this; a sunrise from the van they slept in at god knows where but it's just them and the world is theirs.

🎡 Carnival Lights — What are carnival/amusement park dates like for the two of them? Which carnival ride would each of them choose first?

Skyvier - Sky's a different person at amusement parks. She really chills out and lets loose and usually knows exactly what she wants to do.

If it's a new one, she does a lot of research and makes a plan of attack as if it's a wanderer mission... LOL, she would not want to cram "everything" but she'd try to just hit all the "important" things as efficiently as possible. She's usually very go with the flow, but this is one of her exceptions. UNLESS... Xavier insists on planning.... then she's basically passenger princess. She'd be ok letting him guide as long as he swears up and down they won't get lost (they do and she planned for this and has the park app with the guided map Lol).

If there's one she frequents often, she's not there for the rides so much as she is the vibes. Strolling through the park, some superfluous sugary latte in hand or an ice cream cone, holding his hand, seeing what comes their way, maybe catching a ride or two, or watching a show, then going home. She's there to chill and try new foods and desserts. Xavier of course is... a sleepy guy. But he's chill, and likes experiencing new things with her. Even if it's things he's done before, but everything feels "new" with her. I feel like he'd like taking her to every single one in the vicinity of Linkon and then they'd pick a park and get an annual pass and just stick to it. It's like, a destresser? She likes the rides, coasters are ok, just maybe not the crazy coasters. She gets enough thrill at work 😅 She probably likes that carnival ride where you sit together and it spins you like a top and you end up bumping into the person next to you... she likes bumping into Xavier lol. Xavier is more the activity type. He likes winning things for her. Shooting games where you win prizes.

Starpear - Zayne has a plethora of things (cufflinks, a scarf, the snowmen on his dashboard...) that she gave him or remind him of her. I think something maybe specific would be something for his desk, something practical. A honeydew paperweight, that he bought himself, because it's her favorite fruit, and she probably has a "matching" pear on her desk at work. Star probably has a little seal in her workbag, just to think of him. Probably had it before they even started dating lol. It reminds her of the seal snowballs he made her long ago.

SkyMiah - TULIPS. And azaleas. From Budding Romance, mostly. I also just associate sunflowers a lot with Jeremiah, I think half the fandom does. And marigolds, obvs but that was Bella's flower so not really when it comes to SkyMiah. Sky's flower I dunno... I still like tulips for her because of the way they "open up" when they get the proper conditions. More symbolic that way rather than "flower meaning." Jeremiah greets her "hey, tulip." c:

daylight (xavlia) — it could go either way. honestly it really depends on the situation and their mood hdjdbbd delia appreciates slow and sensual, but xavier can overall be very intense? so when she's in the mood for it she tries to slow it down and xavier goes along with it until he snaps lmao others it's the other way around: fast and intense that devolves into something slow and intimate after the pent-up frustration is gone (like if they haven't seen each other in a bit for example... or if one or both of them got jealous). I don't think they're much for quickies and when it happens they're gonna be at it for a while with varying degrees of intensity hfjdbjd

daylight — for delia it's that one "thank you for existing." xavier will say breathtaking things that she holds close to her heart, but something about the simplicity of this one would get to her; specially since she struggles so much with trying to be perfect and how she's perceived. the fact that he's grateful for her existence itself means the world to her. / considering xavier's journey I think for him it'd be this one scene I've had in my mind for a while but haven't written it hjsbdfshj I see them talking about her past boyfriend, like properly, and it was probably brought on by a fight or another or lots of little fights/tension until they address the elephant in the room. and after all is said I see them lying down face to face, delia would lace their fingers together "Every time I look back, I know I belong by your side." moontide (rafasel) — for raf I think it'd be something she'd say offhandedly one day. I can't think of the exact wording but it'd slip out without her thinking much about it, probably complimenting his hands. she likes his hands a lot hfjfbfb / for her even though it's not exactly a compliment... since selena struggles with self-expression one of the best things rafayel could tell her is that he knows how she feels. "I love you." "I know." I don't talk about them a lot but hfjfbjf there's a whole scene in my head post toy regarding this.
