“I am not the man you think I am, Detective,” he said, placing his drink down on the bar.
“Lucifer, you are. You're so much better than this.” She hovered nearby, not sure whether to approach him, but at the same time wishing he would come closer. Right now she wanted nothing more than to sit down beside him at the piano like they used to, before she managed to destroy the light inside him.
“You're right,” he said, turning to face her. As he stalked towards her, his eyes betrayed his intention before he even said another word.
“I am better. I am better than any man you've had, or ever will have. I will take you in ways Daniel couldn't even imagine. I will make you come harder than Cain ever did. No man will compare to me after I've finished with you.”
She backed up against the piano, but before she could move further away he was there, his arms braced either side of her as he boxed her in.
“Lucifer... stop,” she said weakly, but her body betrayed her as she made no move to push him away.
His lips glided down her neck, teeth lightly scraping across her skin. “Do you really want me to stop?” he asked, hands skimming up her sides to brush against the sides of her breasts. He paused, breathing in her scent before dragging his tongue along the marks he'd made, stopping when he reached her ear. “Chloe,” he growled deeply, pulling back to meet her eyes with his own.
“No,” she whispered breathlessly.
