@allimariexf​ LMAO. Your description is me so much of the time. Maybe I’ll try butting in more (stopped in s5 because didn’t feel acceptable by part of the fandom - though that was mostly on twitter back then-) again.

For what it’s worth (and I wasn’t participating in online Olicity fandom back then, so I have nothing to compare it to, though I do think that Twitter is a scary place to fan, even now) I know that in these texts posts, passion can often get interpreted as intolerance for other viewpoints. 

I worry sometimes that people are mistaking my passion for intolerance, when it’s totally, 100% not. And so I generally assume that that’s the same for other people too. 😬 (Not that there isn’t always some of that intolerance. But just fyi to you and everyone: I of course love it when people agree with me 😉 but I always try to remember that that doesn’t make us any more or less “right” than other opinions.) I do hope you feel comfortable weighing in more in the future!

Out of the 3, she's the only one I can still sort of tolerate when it comes to this (though she's as guilty as the other when it comes to that civil war storyline). Grief can make you be stupid. The other two act as if OTA bugged them out of nowhere and unwarranted.

yeah, i can understand her grief even though she is so obviously misplacing the blame. rene literally turned oliver in to the fbi. the questioning of rene, curtis, and dinah’s loyalty didn’t come out of thin air. so, i think the OTA distrust was a bit warranted. at this point NTA needs to pack up their egos and reconcile, like OTA tried to do. forgiveness is just as important a virtue as trust.

I haven’t seen it (thank god) but I’m not even shocked that some people are as awful and gross like that. And those “fans” who think O would be fine and dandy and ready to have another kid if he lost William to this life (same goes for F TBH, she loves W)? Yeah, you’re delusional.

exactly on top of every other gross thing about this... they completely ignore the fact that Oliver has lost so much in his life. The loss of a child is.... not something that people easily come back from. He promised to love and protect William with everything he has. To lose his son would be soul crushing. He and Felicity both would be devastated and they’re supposed to jump in the sack and create another baby after that? No.

I’m just MEH. Ignoring it. I haven’t seen too much freaking out, mostly shade toward her/the cw. Just keep ignoring the fandom and you’ll be fine.

I’m mostly meh on the idea, too.  I don’t really see how this is anything more than the CW continuing to prop up KC.  I just know the fandom is going to freak out, but fortunately, those Chicken Little types are not the people I have on my dash.  :-)

I know that clip and it was cool. But IMO, mb has been just as much of a sexist ass so I’m not huge on him, even though slade was my fav villain until recently.

i’ve only see one gifset of him talking about how slade threatened oliver with the people he was going to lose and there was not one man on that list. a friend of mine told me that he shades the writers every chance he gets and that’s exactly how far my knowledge extends of him. 

i dont find it hard at all to think him just as sexist - though i'm still enjoying the thought of him  pulling up the middle finger on guggenheim.

Pretty good description of it. Wonder how you will feel toward the later seasons. I had to give up at some point but I loved jax and tara on this.

jax and tara are making me lose my shit tbh, with what i’ve seen in episodes, and gifsets and spoilers, i dont know how i will handle it. any  of it really. i love them a lot, i love what they do for each other. but i have this feeling (based on the spoilers) that their relationship will deteriorate a lot, especially for tara - like, it will get really bad for her? idk 

i hope not because that would break my heart

That’s totally understandable. Sometimes, just enjoying the show on your own is better. Fandom should be fun, if it’s not, way better to let it go and just keep enjoying the show. Plus, working on your stuff is awesome :))). You’ll let us know when something’s out?

I will! I’ve got some things that I’m potentially going to self-publish, while I also focus on traditional publishing. Either way, y’all will know about it.  :-)
