This is my first WIP, and technically this is a rewrite but it will be the last unless I have a late night epiphany about this WIP being able to become something greater. However thats besides the point, time to share what I love.

False Ancestry:
You are the child prodigy, the star of the town, the next in line to be captain of the football team. However, that is no longer the case. You have been suspended from the game for the remainder of the school year due to an incident involving a former school teacher.
You have to deal with the consequences of your actions, that isn't all that is happening in your little town. The queen bee of the school, who has been missing for the last three weeks, has been found and returned home. It's your responsibility to help her rehabilitation, for better or for worse, as one of her childhood friends.
Maybe this would have been the start of a sweet love story and change between the two of you, the troubled star and the amnesia queen. But life has different plans for you. A monster is waiting in the woods, stalking and hunting down residents of Blackwood.
Following a very unfortunate series of events, you are truly awakened to the world around you, which is filled with monsters and things that are no longer human. Do you have what it takes to save the people closest to you and retain your humanity?
You have seven days until prom arrives to make your decision, seven days to overcome your past, seven days to decide your future path. As a monster or as a human.
Meet the Romance Options:
Irene North
The Queen bee of the school, vice captain of the cheerleading squad, president of the student council, and the daughter of one of the richest people in town. She is also technically your best friend, being one of your childhood friends, your biggest rival in life, and your second biggest defender behind John. Her parents and yours are the people behind the town’s economy, which affords her a certain level of untouchability that she exploits to her benefit.
Irwin North
The king of the school, vice captain of the football team, president of the student council, and the son of one of the richest people in town. He can also be considered your best friend, being one of your childhood friends, your biggest rival in life, and your second biggest defender behind John. His parents and yours are the people behind the town’s economy, which affords him a certain level of untouchability that he exploits to his benefit.
Rachael Von Liechtenstein.
Vice captain of the cheerleader team, overall great friend despite everything. She is a bit weird with how she acts sometimes, you wonder how much of her is the real her and how much is an act.
Skye White
Nerd, weeb, and, surprisingly, the captain of the volleyball team. President of the school anime club as its only member, not for lack of trying to get people interested. She is one of your childhood friends and the one that you are closest to, is your best friend despite her odd behavior.
John/Jane Healthcliff
A victim of fate, that is the best way to describe John or Jane; they have been beaten down by life from the day they were born. Being born intersex created a division in their life with their parents. Their father couldn’t take the stigma of such a child and buried himself in work, while their mother couldn’t accept it and chose to only view them as a girl. This is only their home life, as their social life is a lot worse, as they get bullied for being different, for being feminine, even if they present themselves as a boy. However, you and the others don’t care about this, because they have and always will be your friend.
Ryan Ashford
The most annoying yet charming guy you know, Ashford, for all intents and purposes, is a clown that marches to the beat of his own drum. Which for some reason, works out in his favour every step of the way, and that makes him the best captain that you could ask for. He is the main reason that you gave football a second chance, and the main reason why you haven’t been expelled yet, besides Irene.
Charlotte Jenkins
Misguided? That’s the best way you can describe CJ, you can’t blame her too much, as she actively tries to be better than her family, but she is somehow still a bit tone deaf with half of the things that she says. She is that one friend who says something unintentionally horrible with a dumb smile on her face, she reminds you of someone you knew sometimes.
Sigismund Saint
The new transfer student, you haven’t personally met him, but word travels fast around the school. He is the archetype of transfer students in movies, cold, quiet, and distant from everyone, but the first two descriptions of him could be because he’s rumored to be mute. The one thing that is constantly mentioned besides his muteness, is his sheer arrogance despite being unable to speak. All bite, no bark. As they say.

FAQ:
Why is the MC African American?
I wanted to tell a story involving a Black MC and several themes in the story are based on that fact.
Why do the F!MC and M!MC have differences?
Simply put, It’s because of how Irene/Irwin operate in the story, Irwin wouldn’t be a cheerleader, and Irene wouldn’t be on the football team. But I also can’t have the player be on the same team as Ir, so they had to be split.
What supernatural elements will be present in the story and when?
Currently, I only have the vampire and werewolf routes planned, plus a human route, and this is unlikely to change. The supernatural elements will not make an appearance until chapter 1, the prologue is to set up the human elements and the framework of the MCs life before it got derailed.
Why is the MC so violent?
The Main character is violent and more prone to violence, because that’s part of the story I want to tell and has overarching implications throughout the narrative.
Rewrites and changes.
The story is subject to change due to the fact that I come up with better ideas for the story, it has been rewritten before, changes have been added, and will continue to be added. But I will try to stop adding retroactive changes, and all changes will not affect the previous updates.
When I finish the story, I plan to do one final rewrite before I submit it to hosted games.
Additional stuff.
This will be subject to change, depending on what repeat questions I receive, but that is all for now.
Also bonus doodles. :p
Offer still open btw, for WIP authors its permanently open really.
Its an exposure therapy thing I do for social anxiety and as a hobby, so don't worry about price, free is a great price.
Tumblr is filled with bots tho so be specific up front if you're an author or reader of an IF so I don't block you.
As many of you may know or don't know, I have been suffering from depression, and it's always been a part of my writing, and I have a confession to make. Basically, the current state of False Ancestry is unsustainable, and I am going to fix it.
To explain why it's like this and why I see it like this, it's because writing is one of my coping habits, and even then, I still get depressed about writing. So to cope and keep writing, my brain forces me to come up with new ideas and new impact to get me reinterested in writing.
Which has led us to the current state of the story with 10 Ros basically, and the plot having a lot of things that go somewhere, while the story isn't exactly showing any of it. Hell, you can even see this when I got really depressed before, and created the hero story to cope.
So I am going to make a binding vow, with myself and all of you. By sacrificing myself, most of the fanbase, my academic and financial life, doing a rewrite. I will return the story to the basics, focusing on the core themes and ideas.
Which means I will be removing a lot of the ROs, (except Irene and Irwin, who will become separate characters), the werewolf and vampire aspects of the story (it's complicated and shooting myself in the foot), and other story.
But I do promise that I will write and complete the prologue and first chapter by August. Bare witness to me and thanks for the ted talk.
I am calling these patch notes because I can. But on to the changes I made, some small changes and some big ones that will get me burned at the stake like a witch. (You should really read Mark of the Devil)
First, let's start with the big changes, and the most important of those, the RO changes.
I have removed 3 of the ROs, one you didn't get to interact with yet, and it's for the best, he was sexist. And CJ and John, both of them got removed but not deleted. CJ is going to be a fling, John is just a side character.
Irwin and Irene are getting split into separate characters, meaning WLW and MLM are back on the menu with them. You will get to choose who you dated in the past between them.
Sigismund is staying because he had an overlap with Dante, and both of them got merged. Rachael remains the same, and Skye is being a delinquent to make her character more Active.
Now for the other changes, such as me removing the supernatural routes, I decided to do this to really focus on the story elements I have so far. (Themes and such.)
Minor changes include:
Reworking the sexualities to be more inclusive.
Reworking the parent dynamics to be more choice based.
Reworking the school events to have a reputation system.
You will have the option to ghost the teams.
Further the immersion of the flashbacks with the story.
Well, Good new is I decided to not end it all and actually try to fix my life a little bit. But it also means I need time to figure some things out, unless yall want mega slop FA, where I only write in my highs like right now. (I am not in a stable state of mind, so take things here with a grain of salt.)
Speaking of which, I lowkey suck at writing branching paths besides some flavour text. When I get back, I will try to improve that.
