Old Lies
Morality,
As told by
Old gods,
Old books,
Old men.
The law,
Their code is held
Up.
On.
High.
A place,
They push us to reach.
Forcing the climb,
Making us struggle
In order to attain that which they
Never had.
The ascent is
Impossible.
Without use of
Exaggeration,
That holds
True.
They know it full well,
Yet they still
Demand.
Punishing us,
When we
Inevitably,
Fall.
They
Trick us,
You realize.
Making us believe,
We are wrong.
We are filthy.
We are disgraceful beasts.
Fallacy of their
Doing,
Manipulates us.
We must cast it aside.
The law of gods,
The law of
Old.
Lies.
Must leave our thoughts.
Relieve ourselves of the
False good, and
Forget the constructed
Image of evils,
Crafted to bind you.
See the truth,
Un-know,
And be free.
Enter the void.
Punishment as the only motivation hurts more than those being punished
And whilst I'm at it. This is also true for things like drug addiction and alcoholism. The stigma created as a means to dissuading people from experimenting with drugs (as if the authorities aren't the primary ones to do that to us), has halted trials on substances that have the potential to heal addiction to drugs.
Note I said, trial, not discovery.
Not only do said substance/method show promise, they also have potential applications in other areas such as chronic pain and even certain neuroses and psychotic inducing mental imbalances.
That's the nature of biology, what works in certain areas, has potential application in related and other areas.
All this too has been set aside to abuse and punish drug addicts, in order to present abuse as destructiveness of drug addiction.
Don't get me wrong, addiction is something to be avoided, however, it definitely doesn't need to be as bad as it has been made by such as turning drug production over to criminals, turning addicts into criminals, placing them in the aegis of law enforcement and prison.
