// a shame, shadow. we all thought you were into that. :<
// honestly i feel really called out bc shadow really does have a twisted part of him who could be super into this stuff as a result of the moral ambiguity that his gory black arms genes bring about but he’s aware that this stuff is fucked up so he represses the hell out of those thoughts when they come around but like honestly ? have him hang out with ppl like meph for a while and this might very well change lmao
" I hope you are aware that if you /prod/ me any further, I can release an ancient noxious mineral from my physical shell that can make you ill for some weeks. Then blind you. And paralyze you. And then you would die. "

Sleeping had been difficult, as of late.
Elise had become quite the heavy sleeper, in the time since the festival. It was new for her, so sleep so soundly, without her body burning underneath the sheets and her dreams no longer of fire--it was a sensation she did her best not to take for granted, but devoured like a hungry child all the same.
But the simple luxury that was a deep, peaceful slumber seemed to sleep through her fingers as soon as it had come. Something akin to a night terror haunted her now, in waking moments as much as in dream. It rested in shadows, watching, waiting for her to be alone, and she was all too aware it was just within arms reach, and there was... danger? She couldn’t tell, just yet. Not until she confronted whatever ghost had been plaguing her.
She took the candle on her nightstand, a simple reading light, and puffed it out with a single breath. Somehow, the action made the hair on her neck stand--but Elise kept quiet, and resilient, and stared out into the darkness of her chambers.
“Is... is someone there? Come out, please.”
also tries to pet his chest fluff. he wouldn't growl at a god would he?

It was within a world of fire that the alchemist suddenly found himself. Heat bathed the lands, casting islands across a molten sea, and split the sky with each thunderous crack. The very air itself seemed to radiate each breath as it sapped at what little life dared to persevere in such a desolate landscape.
In one hand Noctus clung to his bow, the other, nursed a bruised side. He had crash landed when the scenery around him shifted suddenly. Nothing from what he could tell had broken in the impact.Thankfully. But it was enough to kill the idea of flying in attempted aerial reconnaissance even if Noctus wasn’t trying to keep his heart rate down. Lest he open sensitive lungs even further for the blackened touch of the smog.
Already it was difficult to breath. It weighed empty lungs and caused him to cough and splutter, worsening his already watering eyes that prickled from the heat. Noctus had slid his goggles in place to try and shelter them from the hot air but they could only provide so much.
Occasionally Noctus would pause in his slow stride and raise his hand from his pained side, shouting into the bleak darkness the names of his friends. “Rennard! Jack! Oscar! Can anyone hear me?” Only to resume his wandering when an answer never came until, inevitably, the fatigue from the heat began to grow too much. Noctus sat upon a nearby rock farthest from the stream of lava that rolled so casually beside the path. He set his bow beside him but well within arm’s reach. Not even being the sole sign of life would offset that paranoia...

-- " Your happiness is void because you lack a sense of emotional fulfillment. If you had accepted my offer in the beginning to rule this domain with me as my equal, you would not be forced to live this empty 'mortal' life. Yet as it is-- still a fitting and shameful punishment you will endure for the rest of eternity. " (//ur still here.... im so happy...)
╳ ┊ u l t i m a t e » Funny. The black hedgehog doesn’t remember almost making a deal with the devil. He could feel his voice echoing in his head. It wasn’t a pleasant sensation.. “Hm. I have zero desire for ruling ‘this domain’. That’s not who I am.” This reminds him of Black Doom. He had once offered him the power to rule the world.. but Shadow wasn’t easily tempted with just power alone. He wasn’t a selfish person.
“You.. know nothing about me.”
It appears that the white hedgehog was not paying attention to where they were stepping. Now there is something cold and gooey all over their foot. It's really latched on, too. What will they do about this?
