kildriia:
Blue flames died down, watching as her assailants took off running, burned and scarred in several places it looked like. A pause, Harper panting from the energy burst of battle. before she finally shook out her hands to silence the remaining sparks and turn to the other ginger with her.
A hand reaches up to run her fingers through her ginger curls to get them out of her face as green eyes raised. A smile, completely opposite to what she had looked like moments before.
“Sorry if I scared you or something. I’m Blaze. Are you new to Channing? Cause I’ve never seen you’re face before.”
“’Blaze’?” There’s a look of surprise on Elise’s face--it’s not the same person, of course, but that certainly wasn’t a name she expected to hear so far from home--but she shakes the pause out of her mind. It would be rude to keep her savior waiting. “No, you didn’t scare me at all! Fire and I... go back a bit.” She would leave it at that, easier that way.
She would have lied if she said the other’s smile didn’t help lighten the mood, in a nostalgic sort of way. Elise couldn’t help but return it, to truly show no harm had been done.
“Elise. I’m--well, I suppose I’m some kind of new.” Sheepishness does not suit a princess, but it slides onto her like a glove regardless. “I’m... here a diplomatic visit. But, I suppose not everyone is a fan of that.”
