josh looks at the blonde, licking his lips before letting out a little sigh. "maya ..." he begins, unsure where exactly to take this conversation. "i ... i don't know what you want from me, at this point in our lives. i know there was probably a lot you expected when i said i was going to play the long game, but ... i still had a lot of growing up myself to do before i could do that. before i was ready to do what you wanted then." a pause. A quick roll of her eyes before she shook her head. "has anyone ever told you you're cute when you worry about people?" Maybe Riley had told her or anyone else really. Maya was another person that seemed to keep herself protected but showed her heart when it came to defending those she care about. "Will you stop worrying? I'm not even going to do anything. But if I did want to do something it's not like you wouldn't help me cover things up."
