he had a complicated history with the idea of being normal. it had been something he had yearned for, something he had nearly achieved at stanford… but thinking back on all that happened since then, his mistakes and misjudgments… freak felt like a label he wouldn’t be able to untie himself from. the demon blood had always been inside him and his decisions surrounding that set an apocalypse into motion. ❝ normal doesn’t always mean boring. or fitting in, necessarily… but yeah-- the white picket fence idea — kind of lame right? ❞

maybe at one time she truly wanted that normal life. the one that didn't involve all of this -- monsters , magic , angels . . . demons . . . even god but there wasn't anything she could do about that . and at this point , she had given up on that whole normal life thing . in a lot of ways , davina and sam had quite a lot in common . both were different and never truly fit in. not even completely when it came to families. but here they both were , accepting what needed to be done. she smiled softly . " i know . at one time i didn't want to be a witch but . . . can't erase who i am . " the brunette shrugged . " not lame . . . i mean , we all at some point have wanted that in the past . or . . . still do . but i don't think that's entirely lame at all . "

jody didn’t know about that, though she appreciated the sentiment. she knew davina wouldn’t say something like that simply to make her feel better, not if she didn’t believe it. ❝ no sense sitting around wishing is there? i try to remind myself and others that it’s okay to let yourself sit and process your own emotions but we’ve got no power, but to take action. make the world better than it would be without us in it… that’s something i believed before i even knew about this monster crap. ❞

she cared about jody a lot. the witch smiled softly and nodded. " exactly. and it's hard to do. i know. there's days when . . . i have no idea how to react to things going on. " which was true. davina struggled with her own emotions. still , she tried to keep her head up despite everything going on.
