Spell to Attract a Familiar
This is specifically to attract a physical familiar, not an astral one. Before you cast this spell please be aware that your familiar is very likely to become a pet and you need to be prepared to care for them, feed, them, and see to their health needs before you take on this responsibility.
I recommend making a magic pouch to focus the spell on and to keep around until you feel it has run its course. You don’t need everything from this list but gather what you can.

a key - the most powerful key will be one that fits an unknown lock
the rune hagalaz (even drawn on a piece of paper and tucked inside)
tie off with a blue or white ribbon
Meditation
You want to sit in a space that is safe and comfortable, away from distraction. Either drop into a full meditation or spend some time with intentional thinking. Think of what you need your familiar to be. Not what animal, but what traits you need in your companion. Focus these thoughts into the spell pouch or into yourself if you aren’t using one. Spend as much time as feels right doing this before casting the spell.
Before you cast the spell you should invoke your patron deity if you have one.

Cast this spell either during the waxing or full moon. Use a blue or white candle as your focus for the spell.
