Take in the vibrant shades of blue and green at Diablo Lake Overlook in North Cascades National Park. About a three-hour drive from Seattle, follow the North Cascades Highway, you'll be on a road trip that delivers some of the most marvelous views in Washington. Pull over to enjoy the scenery, and stop and photograph the azure turquoise water and the ice-capped mountains. As the highway ascends, the forest’s trees transition too, changing from Douglas-fir to mountain hemlock and Pacific silver fir. It’s an overlook you won’t soon forget.
