While I’m writing my fanfic, I’ve been thinking about a certain concept. I might sound crazy, but hear me out! We know that the Overlook doesn't accept Dick, which is strange because he has the Shine just like Danny. Why does the hotel reject him and even suggest (or rather, heavily imply) to Danny's father that he should be "removed"? At the same time, in the series Welcome to Derry, It is surprised by Dick and even intrigued by his powers. What I’m getting at is that every person with the Shine has their own, let's call it, "monster" or "evil" that is drawn to them. So, could Pennywise and Dick be called soulmates?
