sprigatito fan evolutions!
I made the a grass and bug type, because grass and fire type would be too obvious a choice for weed cat
Meet Sprigatito’s evolutions Dienthera and Dandyléon!
When I first saw Sprigatito I immediately of @iguanamouth ‘s Dandilion lion as an evolution, so they were of course a big inspiration.
Dienthera’s name might be a bit hard to decipher but its a mix of the Spanish word for dandilion: “diente de león” and the sceintific name for lions: “Panthera leo”.
Dandyléon is based of the word dandelion and the Spanish word for lion: “Léon” so quite on theme.
I might have a try at the other two but I had such a vivd idea for Sprigatito that it was the easiest.

With these added evolutions I do research into what was the origin of the name and idea, plus look at the pokedex entries to see what the pokemon is about. I’ve also chosen to do 2 pokemon that have no evolutions (as of this date, before sword and shield) from each generation. So dunsparce was based on Tsuchinoko, a serpentine cryptid of Japan. It also may be a visual pun inspired by the name "bachi hebi" (literally "bee snake") and its name is a combination of dunce and sparce. Its pokedex entries talk about it drilling underground and being mostly an underground grub. So for its evolutions i wanted to focus on the slug/snake idea, Its form Durpa i wanted to make basically a blob with the idea that when it evolves it basically just stretches out. Its final evolution Donsluga i wanted to be moke direct of it being a snake/slug like form. and i also wanted it to emphasize the digging aspect of dunsparce so i exaggerated the drills.
#82 Durpa: The cave slime pokemon, Durpa can only move by rolling around, it’s often very dirty due to it needing to roll everywhere.
#83 Donsluga: The Drill Snake pokemon, Donsluga spend most of its time underground, using the massive drills on its face and tail to dig large caverns for it to dwell. Donsluga can vary in size due to it eating all the dirt is moves around with its face, same say they’ve seen Donsluga that are miles long underground.
i was inspired by @inprogresspokemon to create my own line of skitty/delcatty! the first one i’m calling kitnap even tho it doesn’t really go along well with the theme of skitty and delcatty. oh well…
when a kitnap is born its eyes are tightly shut and have rather dull colors. it spends the first couple weeks of its life sleeping, keeping its small legs warm underneath them. as they grow and start eating different foods, its fur becomes more vibrant and its tail begins to bloom.
as skitty matures into delcatty, it is often irritable and lashes out. its eyes begin to open causing it to squint due to the bright light, furthering its frustration with the world. however, once fully evolved into delcatty, its gentle demeanor returns.
due to the stress of mega evolution, delcatty’s eyes are forced back shut to accommodate for its increasing power. its fur around its neck and its ears puff up. the flower buds on its body blossom and it transforms into a normal/fairy type, its sp.atk and sp.def increasing.

I’ve also chosen to do 2 pokemon that have no evolutions (as of this date, before sword and shield) from each generation. So Tauros’s pokedex entries talk about it being super aggresive and it using its horns a lot, its namesake is either based on its Japanese name Kentauros, toro, centaur or a combo of all 3, and obviously its form is based on a bull or funny enough a bison. So for its pre-evolution i based it on a calf adn gave it simplified features of tauros, The idea behind its evolved form is since tauros headbutts a lot of things i decided to give it more horns for ramming and a bigger more imposing form so that way its aggressive nature is more in focus.
#80 Tason: The scrappy calf pokemon, Tason is a troublemaker and will not stand being in a enclosure of any kind, It will charge and headbutt anything it sees but its so small and weak it ends up knocking itself over everytime.
#81 Kentoros: The Alpha bull pokemon, Kentoros are rare due to them only evolving when a Tauros claims the alpha position. Once it becomes Kentoros it leads its herd without question, and will protect it at all costs until it passes and a new alpha rises to the top.
