Ailo!!!!!! How was your show? What was your favourite part of the show? Your favourite song? How was Louis, the crowd and the band ? I will love to read anything you want to share of your experience of the show (if you want to share if you don't is fine don't worry).
CC!!! It was soooo good!!! I'm still high from the experience. Wow! The show aspect of the HDWGH tour is such a huge step up from FITHWT... there is going on visually all the time (holy amazing light show!!) - and much more of Louis' voice to hear!!
My favourite part - it's kinda silly - was the confetti. There's so much of it and it swirls around for a long time and it's just a magical experience while Lemonade plays and the reality that you really are seeing Louis sinks in! I felt like a child in a snowstorm - that kind of ✨. The Vienna crowd was fantastic, energetic, loud. I chatted with some people in the queue and we ended up going in together and really vibed well together jumping and chanting and just generally having a great time together. The band was great too - I love how they feature with more solos, those are all great moments.
Louis himself was a bit in his head for the first third of the show or so - he either looked out into the distance over the crowd or had his eyes closed or down... it was like he wasn't ready to make eye contact. But then two beautiful back-to-back fan projects for Sunflower and Lucid sort of snapped him out of it (even though I think there too, he didn't stop to watch them for too long, probably so as not to get too emotional). I do love that he has a b-stage and more people get a chance at a good view of him. Next time I'll stand on the left side though... I missed the tattoos 🤭
This hdwgh show has a lot more mellow moments than the other three shows I've been lucky enough to attend (2023-2025)... and also boppier ones... but it doesn't go as hard. I don't mind it, but it perhaps wasn't as cathartic as it has been in the past.
Also, Palaces just doesn't feel like it's in the right spot yet. It's such a great anthem and it's energy is needed earlier in the setlist imo. And with all the mania around No Control, there was almost a sense of the crowd being disappointed by Miss You followed by Palaces - so I think he needs a much more unifying last song to close the show (hello Silver Tongues) and move those really great tunes forward so they don't seem like a consolation prize. I did hear a lot of people around me saying there were sad they didn't get any 1D song. And, I think his teasing the crowd with "You want No Control? hehe... here's The Answer" got lost in translation: so many people around me thought he meant the answer to their request and were going crazy until they realised it was some song they didn't know. Oops!!
I've never had the courage or stamina to queue... so I very much enjoyed the random numbering system. I also loved seeing all the Louies outside the venue before the show, the collective vibes, people handing out stickers, bracelets, fan project papers, all dressed up in merch or louis-inspired outfits. It's a great group of people to belong to.
Also, I was touched and delighted to be invited to participate in the preparations for the rainbow project: I can't imagine a nicer group of people!! <3 <3 <3
Louis, Louies, I'll do it all again... with you... in Munich!
