The author-designer [French mangaka] Migouze (or Mig for short) suggested that artists and meme fans create a cover for volume 5 of the Ogrest manga just for fun ^^

Personally, I took it seriously (yes, thoroughly while having fun x'D), I drew Echo since it can be a fairly obvious character to present on a volume cover 👀

I did a cover of the second part of 2112, which is called The Temples of Syrinx. I messed up a few times by playing some notes on the wrong string or being a bit slow, but all in all I'm happy with the cover.

Tumblog Assignment #1:

There's so many communities I'm from that I could write about.. Choosing one is hard! I guess the community that interest me the most to write about is the "online karaoke community." I've been taking part and producing fan-covers for a little over 6 years, and in those 6 years I've worked with so many people that helped me improve as a singer and mixer. A particular instance that stuck out to me was when I produced an English version of the Wonder Girls' "Saying I Love You."

This particular project stuck out the most for me because it was one of the hardest I've ever produce. This was only a harder song to mix because of the harmonies, backup vocals, and vocal layering--all of which I lack an ear for. Another reason why it was hard to mix was because it was in a different language than than it was originally. The song in originally in Korean, but I wrote English lyrics because I wanted to cover the song (my Korean pronunciation/accent is still atrocious).

But thanks to Yo! Project <<yoproject[dot]net>> (an active karaoke forum I recently joined) I learned basic techniques how to create harmonies (via Melodyne) layer vocal (via Adobe Audition) and ripping backup vocals (via Audacity). Prior to joining this community, I would have have just mixed the vocals together with Audacity and not add any "effects." At first, when I did do that, the mix sounded very empty because the vocals sounded very dry and raw, compared to the original. I didn't learn these techniques all at once. Many people gave me critiques on my previous projects, and I used the critiques and advises I was given to produce this:
