Ellie: with what words would you define me?
Nick: You're more complicated than a Monday but I like you more than a Friday
Ellie: I have something on my face?
Nick: No
Ellie: So you're looking at me? It is uncomfortable
Nick: I can not tell you
Ellie: Why can not you ...?
Nick: It's okay I'll tell you everything ..! but no..
Ellie: God, I did not even finish my question and you're ready to tell everything. Remember me and I do not tell you my secrets, you suck at this interrogation.
Nick: I do not!
"Behind the Gloves" project update #1
Although I have been working on this project in some form almost every single day for over two years now, I've decided (upon recommendation) to post regular updates about the project's progress.
Accomplished this past week:
* I have found two potentially interested new beta readers, one who is familiar with B5 canon and one who is entirely unfamiliar. I need both kinds of beta readers, since the project must stand alone even for people who know nothing about that world.
* The folks at The Beta Service have graciously offered to signal boost the project once I start posting it, as well as to post a link to the project on their Tumblr page, because, in their words, "We're really looking forward to seeing how people are going to respond to this project because of the sheer amount of detail and connection to the series." YAY, THANK YOU!
* I added the footnotes (over 100) to what is currently planned for the first fic in the series (Andy's story). Most footnotes contain three, four or more cites to canon, although for some footnotes, there is only one cite.
* I found a section of the story which was still too weak/not tied tightly enough to canon, and I wrote a new short section to improve that part of the story. More work may still be forthcoming to make that new section even better. I like the effect of the new section on the fic as a whole.
* I got the concept for my next fic.
* I read through some more canon, found answers to some of my questions, and got a misconception corrected (about the date of the Cerberus incident).
I still need beta readers, everyone!
