Titan Lore Time
Since the initial histories of my two titan ocs are intertwined, I thought I would post their stories of how they came to hate each other and colonize their planets first.
Both Titans, Tiamat and Jormungandr, were born during Cybertron's ancient past, and they chose to join their brethren in spreading out into the galaxy to colonize new worlds in order to spread the Cybertronian race across the galaxy and give rise to new generations as their homes. However, their personalities and goals clashed with each other.
The brutish and war-mongering Jormungandr wanted nothing more than to slaughter every race he came across and establish the greatness of the Cybertronians through force. Ever since he was forged, Jormungandr knew that he was to spread the glory of the Cybertronian race through war and battle. To him, strength and fear are the only ways to assert dominance over others, and since his mission was to colonize other worlds for Cybertron, he would beat them into submission to create a place for himself and his future colonists. Tiamat disagreed with the other Titan, believing that trade, artistry, and politics would set Cybertronians on the path to greatness. Yes, chaos was inevitable, but it was up to the Titans to guide their children towards success and work with the many worlds around them. Despite Tiamat’s pleading, Jormungandr would not sway from his course of destruction. He saw her as weak, misguided, and soft, nothing that he considered a true Titan to be. As such, she became an obstacle to him and his mission, one that must be eliminated in order to ensure the survival of a fierce and proud Cybertronian race. Nevertheless, Tiamat decided to stand against him and defend the other species of the galaxy as well as the future of her children.
A great battle began as Jormungandr tried to forcefully remove Tiamat from his way and she resolutely stood against him. The two fought viciously, but neither could seem to gain the upper hand even as they severely wounded each other. This clash of Titans was so powerful and destructive that the planet they were doing battle on was destroyed and the two Titans were sent hurtling into space in uncontrollable spins.
After flying through space, Tiamat eventually found herself on an arid planet covered in grasslands, deserts, and small mountain ranges. Still critically injured, she dragged herself to a lovely spot nestled at the foot of a mountain and beside an oasis. There she transformed into her alternate mode, a city-sized ziggurat with massive walls, and fell into a deep, healing slumber. As she slumbered, her natural hotspot would begin to forge hundreds upon hundreds of newsparks and place them within sentio metallico in order to give these ‘children’ life. Upon their ‘birth’, Tiamat’s consciousness awoke, and through the conduit of the Voice of the Mother (this colony's version of a cityspeaker), she would watch as her beloved children built the mighty city of Bahamut within and outside her great walls. Thus the colony of Sumakkalon was born!
Meanwhile, Jormungandr found himself crash-landing on an icy, frozen planet in the depths of its wintertime, plunging into the frozen waters that had been covered by ice. Critically injured and now missing his right optic thanks to his great battle with Tiamat, the mighty warrior Titan dragged himself out of the water and to the mouth of a great fjord. Nestled in between high, rocky walls, Jormungandr transformed into his city mode and fell into a deep, healing slumber. As he slept, his hotspot began to forge thousands of newsparks to populate the colony he had inadvertently begun when he crash-landed on the planet. Soon, the sparks were encased in the Titan’s sentio metallico and given life, awakening the consciousness of their Titan creator. Seeing great promise in them, he chose the first cityspeaker through which to watch his little warriors grow. They would come to form the city of Midgard from his body, and so the colony of Búa Íss was born!
