A/N @anarchyaustralia you asked and I slightly delivered. I know I sent it to ya but I thought I’d post it :) pls excuse the fact that’s it’s slightly unedited.
You’d never seen drinking as very appealing. Your idea of a good time was to hang out with friends and have a memorable night, if alcohol was involved it would just be one of the perks. It wasn’t until one night while having take out in the middle of your living room and a random game of 20 questions with CALUM that he’d asked when the last time you had a little too much to drink. Much to his surprise you’d confess that you’d never actually had gone out for the sole reason of drinking. CALUM from then on made it his mission to show you how to drink, he’d also vowed to keep you in his sight and to take care of you if you got sick, which he’d made it clear that you should feel special because he wasn’t one to take care of his sick friends, he loved his sleep too much. You’d gladly taken his offer and made sure that the next available night or more like next available day since you didn’t wanna go to class or work hungover. You both made your way down to the local sports bar, soccer matches going on late at night thanks to the different playing time zones, along with basketball and some football. Bars weren’t your favorite thing so CALUM thought it’d be easier to start at a sports bar and move on up to a bar or a club type. He’d have a beer and you’d have a fruity cocktail. But not before earning a bit of a hard time from the guys because ‘fruity drinks are so typical for girls’ yet their gross beers have what but one main source of alcohol, you were drinking at least one if not two mixed hard liquor with a dash of fruitiness to give it flavor. Sure the kiwi and mint leaves gave it a nice touch but soon enough your insides were starting to feel warm. What CALUM wasn’t counting on was that you’d be able to handle your liquor. He was so adamant to keep a drink in your hand but not before you’d also made sure to have some water. If there was one thing you’d learned from your friends, it was to pace yourself and have some water. Before you knew it, you were walking back to your apartment thankful it was only a walking distance from the bar, CALUM’s body slowly moving and his arm and weight seemed as though they were crushing your body, the closer you seemed to your apartment the heavier he got. Slurring and mumbling about how for a girl you sure knew how to handle your liquor, the sadness in his voice because he’d never been drinked under the table, not by any of the guys let alone some who’s claimed they’d never even drank before. His slurring essentially turned into mumbling which then turned into what seemed that of a slight hum. Opening your door just kicking it shut you’d made your way onto your couch a sigh of relief leaving your lips the minute CALUM’s weight made its way onto the couch and off your body. Pulling a blanket and kissing his forehead you’d made your way onto the kitchen. Opening the cabinet and retrieving some pain killers, a box of salty crackers, some chocolate and filling up a glass of water placing them all on the table near CALUM’s head for him to wake up in the morning. A simple note reading 'I may not know how to drink but I do know how to take care of someone who’s had too much to drink, maybe next time cal pal’
